UW is a private University? I thought it was at least like PSU, "state-related." Not sure what the courts would say if someone brought this same sort of claim at psu. Maybe the answer is already out there.The Constitution defines what the government can and cannot do. UW is NOT the government therefore it can't violate the kid's constitutional rights. It's like when someone has a post removed from this board and then they whine about the monitors violating First Amendment rights. There are no First Amendment rights here.
Maybe the argument could be made that UW is part of the government since it's a state university. That would be a big stretch but it only matters what one gullible judge would think
