Final Coaches Radio Show - Wednesday, 3/4

Can someone summarize what Cael and Mark Hall say? Thanks
Nothing earth shattering right now from Cael. Just going through making a few comments about each wrestler at each weight right now. Mostly coach speak... did say he doesnt expect the team to be at its conplete best this weekend....expects that at nationals. Does expect them to wrestle well though.

The lineup could still change after this weekend . . .
is this even possible? I didn't think anyone can go to NCAAs unless you go through the BIG Tourney in some form (at least step on the mat). I am probably confused...

You are not confused. The lineup cannot change after BIG Tens. It might be winnowed down a bit because some guys won't qualify for NCAAs, but it cannot change in composition

Yes.

Sorry, figured most would know I was playing. Lost another battle of To Winkie Or Not To Winkie.

Yes.

I was 99.99% sure but thought I missed maybe something changed. It’s not like there is never disinformation on here :). My bad ... carry on ...

Sometimes, To Winkie takes away the inner genius of a sarcastic post.

Indeed, I do subscribe to the belief that sarcasm is at its best when not instantly recognizable. However, that does carry the risk of unintended consequences.

I used to get in trouble a lot
with an old girlfriend's acquaintances because I assumed incorrectly that everyone had watched Seinfeld as religiously as I did as a yute . . . a
lot of the lines I'd non-chalantly drop into conversations made them think I was a real a-hole. Which, in the end, made it even funnier -- to me. To my girlfriend, not so much.

"That's a shame" and "I hate anyone who ever had a pony" were my biggest downfalls.

Hey, when I was a young girl in Poland I had a pony!

Yutes

Just recalled this one that almost got me in trouble . . . Girlfriend accompanied me when I had to have my wisdom teeth out. I don't remember anything from the first few minutes coming out of the gas, but she said the first thing I said was, "Wasn't my shirt tucked in when we came in here?"

Apparently, the dentist did not get the reference and was not amused in the least, and so my girlfriend once again had to apologize for my behavior. I still maintain that was a good one, though, given I was barely even conscious.

This is fantastic.

I didn’t listen to the show. Did Cael mention anything about 157? IMO Luke gives us a better shot to steal a spot than Pipher, though Pipher was in the pre-seeds.

From Jim Carlson’s PennLive story on March 3...

“FINALLY, THE FINAL LINEUP IS SET: Sanderson said Bo Pipher defeated Luke Gardner in an elimination bout to claim the 157-pound spot that he’s had most of the season. Pipher is seeded 13th.”

I just started listening to the gopsusports on demand and it starts in the middle of Cael talking about 157. How hard is it for a major university, with a communications department, to properly air and archive a radio show?

I am pretty sure Lion Vision is run by students. These aren’t professionals if that’s the case. It’s kids trying to learn how to do it. Probably different ones all the time if I had to guess.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong.

This is the same University that has the top turf management program in the country and has nowhere near an elite level golf course(s). Not aesthetically, not quality of grounds, nor difficulty of play.
I would contend PSU audio sucking is Penn State being Penn State.

So, if that is the case, aren’t professors (experts?) there to supervise and correct problems. Problems just happen way too often.

This

Same BS that has been happening for years. This is not cutting edge technology.

Ditto that. I can't imagine anyone that posts here doesn't know that you have to compete in your conference tournament in order to qualify for NCAAs.
Let's no act like the NCAA wouldn't grant some kind of a waiver these days. I know they haven't but time will come they will.
