Football GAMEDAY THREAD: Penn State vs. Michigan

Brutal series for Curtis Jacobs and Michigan takes a 22-17 lead on a 67-yard run from Donovan edwards. Looks like Jacobs went towards the long hole and Tyler Elsdon had no chance of ever catching him.

Two-point conversion is good for Michigan.

The wolverines go up 24-17. Nittany Lions offense has been good on their last two drives, they'll need to answer here.

The LB corps is brutal collectively...the fact that Elsdon and Sutherland start and DeLuca has played meaningful downs this yr sums it up

The Non-holding call on Edwards when McCarthy got the first down Run proved to be the play the game. Move the ball back 10 yards force a punt and then that run never happens. Textbook holding left arm out wrapped around the chest.

What I really don't get is why, we have repeatedly run on the right side of the line. Our weakest side.

Not able to watch. Did we blitz and leave middle open on Edward's long run?

What happened to Carter?
He plays behind Jacobs at Mike. One of them needs to move to one of the other LB spots so that they are both on the field at the same time and for 75% of the plays........

When Carter emerged I thought that Jacobs might move back to Sam and get Sutherland back to the bench where he belongs......

That 2 point conversion was a pick play 2 guys went down field and blocked and the reciever had noone covering him. It works cause Penn State made no adjustment on the fly. Too easy.

Michigan is going to get away with a lot today.

We have to coach our kids that they cannot use their hands, while Michigan is allowed to hold in blocking and in pass coverage. It is what it is in this conference for the games that matter.

So on the 2nd & 2 play we picked up the first but why would Clifford read the defense and get it out to either WR who would have easily had 8+ yards?

Got lucky that wasn't picked. Great job escaping the sack though

Great to see Tinsley make some plays. We have no #1 WR so far this season and it shows glaringly so far today.

We have been talking about this for 25 years. A long time to correct if so. I think it is coaching in general. UM figured it out. Franklin talks but OL never performs
