True, the offense continues to take quarters off, but don’t give the D a pass. Their inability to get a stop is a problem. They continue to give up 3rd and long plays at an alarming rate and their tackling is worse than many pee wee teams.

This is 100% on Franklin for the way he tried to build this program. He has been here for 9 years they have NOT put together good Olines in back to back years. You could argue maybe just 1 of his 9 years they had a top 3 OLine in the big ten. If you can not block just stop right there, fixe that first then lets talk about explosive plays. Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, Oklahoma, and Georgia do not build their program on explosive plays. If you listen to Saban at practice it is all about the basics. JF, great guy just does not understand what it takes to win this conference. To stress my expectations are fair, 1 big 10 east titel every 4 years and he is no where close.

No question...3rd down on both sides has been an annual JF issue. However, we were artificially in this game with 2 big plays. At no point were we ever truly in it...that's a big problem in yr 8 or whatever it is. The LOS has been a joke for yrs.

then the team loses confidence in the plays
then we swan dive the season

then Franklin will recruit another batch of athletes
we will win early

Hackenburg 2.0 - The fact Ohio State did not make him a priority tells me everything I need to know. He will be killed behind this OL. We need a dual threat who can win games with his legs. Robinson, Clark, McSorley, etc. And we lose Veillaux to thee portal to boot.

It's not a weak penalty. That's always going to be called. Corum likely doesn't make that mistake. It's a young back that lost track of where he was.
