Forget eligibility -- he wrestled 138 last year in HS, would be moving up a weight to wrestle men instead of boys, and has not trained in a D1 room since leaving Zeke.

Brooks won Mat Town last weekend.

Not sure about Berge. I think there's a good chance we would not have seen him yet even if he hadn't had his bell rung. He was wrestling at 163+ pounds in Europe six weeks ago. Easing him into 157 and the grind of the college season would have made sense whether he was injured or not.

Regarding Berge, anybody who gets real info on his health isn't disclosing it here. You'll have an easier time finding someone willing to admit to killing Epstein.

Lol, the truth is often a broken record. And no, I have a BTN+ membership. To be honest, there is no comparison between the two boards any longer. I often laugh at folks on free boards stating to others, why are you here? I don't tolerate that here. It's a free board and everyone in the world is welcome here if they are civil. And for the record, I've never banned an Iowa Hawkeye person here except the drunk ass moron after last years National Championship. I gladly welcome all posters here on a free board, especially Hawkeye fans. It's great banter. I just have very little tolerance for degrading any coach or athlete. They give far more than most fans know. The sacrifice is damn near immeasurable.

Since hypocrisy is part of human nature, it can be seen everywhere. I think it looks worse on HR because they have a few very active posters that have let themselves become so bitter and jealous of Penn State over the last 9 years that its negativity affected their sanity. Also, we have more active mods here (thanks Hotshoe and Tom) that keep BWI from becoming a cesspool. While I like to visit the cesspool, I wouldnt want to live there.

The whole thing is a version of the Dan Gable model. The only thing PSU leaves out is the in state tuition for out of state residents.
Cael just uses the Gable model better than Iowa does.

Respectfully, I refuse to believe our staff is breaking the rules like Gable was. Gable was officially sanctioned for doling out the equivalent of 1.92 extra full scholarships every year for four straight years between 87-90 (the only years the Big Ten bothered investigating. Worth noting - no other Big Ten wrestling program exceeded even a fraction of a full scholarship per year during this "penalty evaluation" period). That is to say, hypothetically, if you imagine a guy like Mark Hall getting a full 'ship (which I don't believe he is), coach Gable nearly reeled in two extra "Mark Halls" every year for four successive years while he was building his dynasty. You don't believe Cael is doing that, do you? Of course you don't. The "Gable model" was proven crooked.

Coach Sanderson is just WAY smarter than Coach Brands. Our guy is playing chess while Brands playing Tonka trucks. Our coach has dominated recruiting from day 1 while coach Brands took nine (!!) years by his own admission to even begin to figure it out.

We have our thoughts but they matter not, Cassar, or Verk, Pipher, etc could win 3 of 5 wrestle offs, and if C3 thinks the other guy is better for the team, then by god, he’s gettin it.

My opinion, a factor in Shak getting 197 over Cassar was that Cassar had a tough weight cut and the staff was not sure how he would hold up at NCAA's having to make weight 3 days in a row.

Now the Kerk transfer I fully expected when KS sailed and anyone that thinks one is not connected to the other is wrong. That said KS did what he thought was best for his wrestling his family and lets not forget his pocket. If the result of that was getting another top recruit then well played PSU. If you think for a minute you or anyone on this board would not be complaining if the rolls where reversed you are nuts. I personally think he is R12 at best right and Seth beats him out next season.
