Gulibon vs Gasca, again.

and if he loses he gets Diehl.

Not a horrible draw if he gets past Gasca and loses to Kolodzik. Box/Pletcher/Ward. Do it, Jimmy!

Jimmy has beaten him before so it's possible. I haven't examined the bracket enough to figure out whether his path is easier if he loses to Gasca or Kolodzik, though.

He put himself in this position so has to deal with it. Go Jimmy!

This is a fact...Ryan Diel had 1 chance to beat Jimmy and that was a headlock....I am not worried about that match at all....Anyway he is going to beat Gasca anyway !!!! Jimmy is by far better when he wants to be...I will bet anyone he bets him !!!!

I think it is pretty important for Jimmy to win this first match if he is going to progress. Not that he can't win but he'll get Thorn after getting Diehl.. If he wins and loses to Kolodzik, he should easily win his first consi match. I think JG will be fun to watch... --every match is now exciting with him! Go Jimmy!

Let's hear what YOU say.

You know, SAY something on your own instead of humping on somebody elses post, for the first time in your life.

Wait a sec ..... 24 hrs ago, you were beating this "FOUR BUCKEYE LOCK FINALISTS" down our throats.

Already you have walked back NATO vs Clark semi, now BoJo vs Meyer/Preisch.

I guess oxygen was cut off from your brain the past few days. Glad to see you coming to your senses.

If he changes his opinion enough times, surely one of them will be right!

The board hardly agrees with you any more than they agree with me, using "our" throats, is inaccurate.

I've been watching Jimmy for 7 or 8 years now. Clearest situation of what one can comfortably call a "head case." He's the opposite of consistency. Unpredictable and predictably so. Don't even count on being disappointed.

I have been consistent with my feelings towards Gulibon for the last 2 year's after he moved to 141. He is 14-10 this year. Maybe someone can tell us what his record is against the 16 seeded wrestlers. To expect more than 1 or 2 wins from him is just not realistic. I hope he proves me wrong.

Awful draw for a jimmy.. 141 is stacked!

141 is one of the weaker weights in the Big Ten. Ashnault is the #5 seed and only 4 other B-10 wrestlers are seeded.

Of the 16 seeded wrestlers Jimmy might have drawn at least half of them are as tough or tougher than Gasca.

As Cael has said many times, it's up to Jimmy.

Don't know what happened to Jimmy's Neutral Defense at B1Gs, but it was just non-existent. If anything, I think the Heil match gave Jimmy too much confidence, he was too aggressive on his feet and his Neutral Defense suffered as a result.

We look at out wrestlers through blue and white glasses. I am guilty of it. We all expect Jimmy to make a run because of his incredible high school career and early success at PSU. The bottom line is the Big Ten is weak at 141. So I'm not expecting much from Jimmy at the NCAA's as this will be way tougher than the Big Ten tournament. Jimmy has always looked undersized to me at 141. Longer kids he does not match up well with. Gasca seems to throw Jimmy around like a rag doll. Confidence is so important in any sport and Jimmy has lacked confidence since moving to 141. I do agree that if Jimmy can be Gasca, he has an opportunity to to win a few matches in wrestle backs after he loses to Kolodzik. I know PSU wrestlers are taught to attack and score. I love that approach and think it's great for the sport. I think Jimmy might have more success if he wrestles more like Cutch does. Time and time again, Jimmy gets in on a shot, can't finish and these longer guys turn it into points on him.

141 is a tough, deep weight. Any oath Jimmy could have gotten would've been tough, especially coming in unseeded. Gasca had a nice tournament, but Jimmy has beaten him in the past, and can beat him again. I'd rather he get Gasca than an Ashnault or Jack. Let's go Jimmy!

Agree, not that bad a draw for Jimmy. When you come into NCAAs unseeded, just getting a very winnable match 1st round is a pretty decent break. The only seeded wrestlers Jimmy has beaten are #12 Pletcher and #14 Thorn, so drawing #13 Gasca isn't all that bad imho. Hard to even say that Jimmy got the worst side of the bracket as he needs to go through Kolodzik/Ashnault to make semis, but if he were in same position on the bottom of the bracket, he'd have to go through Thorn (14-Seed) and then McKenna (3-Seed). Given how McKenna handled Jimmy in the dual, I think he's got a better shot against Kolodzik/Ashnault -- he's been close a couple times Ashnault.

Jimmy did the same thing in the Ashnault match. He did some good things in that match, like riding Ashnault and getting out from bottom, but it looked to me like his over aggressiveness, in neutral, is what lost him that match.

I really want Jimmy to let it fly and have fun. Boy he can be a frustrating wrestler to watch. How can someone look so good (Heil) and so lousy (Big 10's). Knowing this is it for him, I would love for him to wrestle the way he is capable of!
