Joe is a MONSTER!hmmm.. who taught Joe Lee that
Did they say the weight he wrestled? I thought they said 165Joe is a MONSTER!
RamadaLooks like The Penn Stater Conference Ctr hotel
Yup - they’re getting very good at this, but they were pretty good initially too. The whole feed is easy to scroll through and they should have the individual matches chopped up pretty soon.Full replay is online: https://www.rokfin.com/stream/2483/NLWC-Live-Event--November-24
It is the whole event so you need to find each match but it is much quicker turnaround than I remember.

Very nice to see how fast the Lee boys looked - Nick especially.
This has been well worth the 9.99 recurring.
Best match of the night... Starocci/Marsteller.. that is a hell of a win for a kid over a high AA
Worst match of the night.. Beard didn't show much against a good but not great opponent. Granted Nickal was supposed to go and was late scratch.. so not sure how "ready" Beard was .. would have liked to see more from him though..
Give Beard a break. Jackson just lost the Senior National final to Gabe Dean 1-1. Dean look pretty good last night against DT. Jackson is a very high level opponent.Best match of the night... Starocci/Marsteller.. that is a hell of a win for a kid over a high AA

I made the comment near the end of the first 3 minute period, "he's tired."I agree with the above assessment of Nate Jackson. He is a high quality opponent. That said, after 4 minutes of wrestling, Michael was clearly gassed. Look at his posture change 1 minute into the second period. That needs improvement. No doubt about it. He has all the talent in the world. Hope he can lever that talent as his career develops.
agreed. I'm still high on him.. Freshman vs world class wrestler that is and has been dedicated to freestyle the past few years. Michael is going to be good. Thought there were several good things to take from the match. Little technique change on a few of his almost takedowns...I made the comment near the end of the first 3 minute period, "he's tired."
While really not liking the gas issue, something I noticed that I liked was that despite wrestling a high caliber opponent and being out of gas he still had a high level of fight.
Here's hoping they find a conditioning path that works for that kid.
AB?So, who haven't we seen wrestle yet?
Berge, Howard, Seth Nevills, Gardner, Pipher, Cassar, Manville ... any others?
Are all the above still training in the room?
Just a guess. Dean as the US Senior champion has to be on David's radar and they were wrestling an exhibition match. There was no need to show much more than the minimum.Anyone else a bit disappointed in DT's match last night?
A bit too close for comfort. I wasn't confident in a tech, but I thought DT would win by 6-9 points.
Maybe I'm getting a bit spoiled here.
David is definitely on Deans radar, quite possibly he was holding back too right?Just a guess. Dean as the US Senior champion has to be on David's radar and they were wrestling an exhibition match. There was no need to show much more than the minimum.
Do you actually believe this? Doesn’t seem like Taylor has ever held anything back. He just had a bad match. Wouldn’t expect it to be near that close again.Just a guess. This should answer your question ... but hide the women and children first, lest they see Stroker's face in agony.I thought the Joe Lee match was kinda hilarious.
Does Zain even use the bow and arrow in freestyle !!
After seeing guys just try to flatten out after a td, I bet Hartman is thinking .. geez, is he even allowd to do that.
It was just a guess. What isn't a guess is David Taylor is very cerebral with his wrestling. Have a plan, follow the plan, learn as you proceed with the plan, review the plan, correct what needs corrected, repeat.Do you actually believe this? My sentiments exactly. I think the first few minutes of the match are indicative of what Taylor can do against Dean. Also, Dean being coached by Dake would definitely give David pause to reveal his full arsenal against Dean since Dake was so successful in creating a game plan when he wrestled David. There was really nothing about that match that causes me concern about David. That being said, Dean is a very talented wrestler in his own right, and I am taking nothing away from his performance.Just a guess. My thought is that Taylor is a guy who goes out and tries to put points on the board. He likes to put on a show. He such a diverse set of attacks that he isn’t worried about providing someone too much intel. It was just a guess. What isn't a guess is David Taylor is very cerebral with his wrestling. So yeah, I believe the plan was to get a feel for Dean without providing Dean much to review while still winning the match. I take it you think Taylor wrestled the match seeing nothing but what was in front of him?
OK. So we disagree. Its all good.My thought is that Taylor is a guy who goes out and tries to put points on the board. He likes to put on a show. He such a diverse set of attacks that he isn’t worried about providing someone too much intel.
I also think that if he believes Gabe Dean is enough of a challenge for him that he feels the need to hold back, then that shows me that the injury has left him at nowhere near the wrestler he was prior. Dean is nowhere close to world champion, or even medalist level.
Agreed. Seems like some in this thread forget Dean's pedigree and underestimate his potential. I'd certainly rather be Taylor than Dean every time in that matchup. But no level of success by Dean would surprise me, especially in freestyle where it seems possible for any elite wrestler to beat any other elite wrestler on a given night.I get that Dean hasn’t been active in a while, but damn, we are talking about one of the better all-time guys in NCAA. 152-7. Nobody is going to just run through him.
Prior to this year Dean lost to Downey and Heflin. I have seen Taylor run through those guys, so I’m not sure why we wouldn’t expect him to do the same to Dean.I get that Dean hasn’t been active in a while, but damn, we are talking about one of the better all-time guys in NCAA. 152-7.
