I was on the 'UCF got robbed' train until I saw this tweet.
Now that I'm thinking about that schedule I think we should stay ahead of them and finish 7th.

This one bears watching. If they have them at 5 then it makes them look horrible. They were never ever in the convos so putting them 5th makes it seem like they sure should have been in the convos. Moving them to around 8 or 9 makes it more palatable given the teams around 10 that lost- Miami, Washington, USC, etc.

If they finish five then the discussions change going forward (maybe as they should).

I agree with the committee that UCF’s schedule did not merit a playoff birth. If they had a big non-conference win it might have been a different story. That’s not to say they are not a good team. But you just can’t get to the playoffs if you are in a weak conference and you don’t play any tough out of conference games.
