There were some clues about Martinez's vulnerability in the earlier rounds of this year's championship; he was not dominating and ran out of gas somewhat late in the matches. His victories included 8-5 over Wanzek from Minnesota, 10-5 over Chandler Rogers from Ok. State, and then 2-1 over Isaac Jordan. He wasn't quite living up to his reputation.

And then Cenzo was the better wrestler in the finals. Sweet.

He has not been living up to his reputation since his freshmen year. His first year he wrestled like a PSU guy, score and score some more. I think he now wrestles to not to lose or his content with a regular decision. Maybe Mark Perry's Okie State and Iowa roots finally took hold with him. He cannot handle adversity, he falls behind and he falls apart and the emotional gas tank hits E real fast.
