Hypothetical lineups that include high AAs from other teams, because they assume they can poach them all to make up for the fact that they can’t recruit or develop.

I also keep reading that Zalesky was fired for being so much worse than Brands, yet he was fired for coming in 4th at NCAAs in 2006. Brands came in 5th last year, and with half the team being new transfers will be lucky to finish 2nd. I'm betting 3rd at this point.

If someone here posted that our wrestlers should intentionally injure another wrestler, how would it be received? Would you expect that person to be called out but many of us?

I've been around Iowa fans a few times at Duals and they are good people. It's a different vibe than going to a Rutgers match. I think an old time Iowa fan has great pride in their history. No different than the Penn State football fan remembering the glory years of Paterno. Speaking of which,The NCAA certainly overreached on taking away victories from Penn State football for something that was not a warranted to do so. Iowa wrestling and Alabama Football (Bryant) had more skeletons than Paterno football. Just sayin.😏

Well that, but he can wrestle at a level rarely obtained by others. I am thinking the gathering of HR members to do the beating would be slim, and those dumb enough to try would probably find the attempt to be an experience in humility and pain.

First sign that the previous dynasty has fully crashed: very few even care to watch or comment on their teams performance and are resigned to being a bridesmaid. More than a few posted they won't watch or plan other stuff for the NCAAs and are already resigned to another year of underperformance. It feels like me as a Phillies and Eagles fan in the early 70's (and a bunch of other 10 year runs).

Bryant was a thug, and you can just ask the Georgia Tech player who was literally assaulted on the field by an Alabama player in about 1963. It was, in the words of Joe Buck, a "disgusting act." lol
