Is there a problem with Lee? Never saw him gas so bad before. Basically dead after 3 minutes. This seems worrysome...like Alton worrysome..
Would he have gone if States starter was available?I agree. Terrible coaching and looking out for himself. God forbid they lose to Iowa state. Mr lee couldn’t be happy. Spencer wasn’t ready at all.
I'm not sure but reports out of Cornell say that Vito is jumping rope in the shower while wearing a rubber suit...Is there a problem with Lee? Never saw him gas so bad before. Basically dead after 3 minutes. This seems worrysome...like Alton worrysome..
Hey James,It was a good dual. We needed that 141 match to win, and I think Casey can pass Woods before the season ends. I was surprised how slow of feet Kennedy has and I wonder if I have had his potential over valued. Iowa is still simply better than we are, but it is not a big gap any longer. I knew they would have to use Spencer and Woods to win this dual, and our troubles at 157 and 174 would bite us. Those are 2 weights where ISU is terrible.
The crowd at Carver was pretty good for a change. There were far less drunk idiots than in years past. I did hear one fat guy yelling at Metcalf multiple times calling him a trader lol. I talked to most of the guys and coaches after and it is refreshing to see them frustrated and not satisfied with a "good effort" these days. KD is bringing the pride back and I really like the direction of the program right now.
I think ISU can sneak into the top 10 in March with a good tournament, and climb a notch higher next year if a couple of guys work out as we hope. We won't be mistaken for PSU at this point but I like the fight and direction of the program. KJ left a train wreck. It was good to see Spencer back on the mat and I wouldn't put too much into his gassing. Long lay off and probably no live wrestling for a full year will do that to anyone.
oh i have no problem with swiderski. no problem with either of them. no harm no foul. great battle and lots of fun. it’s y’all who need to settle down. The Desanto defenders think Swiderski is out of control.
isu is a really fun young team. lots of talent up and down the lineup. that dual will be a war next year. dresser is doing a nice job.It was a good dual. I’m completely with js that the altercation was on Swiderski. I understand he was frustrated chasing Real around but he totally headbutted him multiple times and then got in his face jawing at Real. I also think Swiderski beats him next time they wrestle. Huge learning moment being in that kind of match especially in Carver. Kid is going to be a problem come nationalsoh i have no problem with swiderski. no problem with either of them. no harm no foul. great battle and lots of fun. it’s y’all who need to settle down.
i thought you said he was done?? what happened my man?Worried and concerned...
It will make Iowa fans go crazy!Hey James,
What do you think about ISU being in the top 5 for the youngest Ferrari?
I think it would be a good fit.
Did you just throw up in your mouth lmfao. I kid I kid.isu is a really fun young team. lots of talent up and down the lineup. that dual will be a war next year. dresser is doing a nice job.
tbh, the isu rivalry doesn't excite me. i'm not from iowa and iowa state hasn't beaten them during my 13 years as a fan. and most of those duals weren't even competitive.Did you just throw up in your mouth lmfao. I kid I kid.
Why are you guys not using Cam Robinson at 157? I don't understand that, 149 is likely a difficult pull for him by now. Honestly, I can't see him getting thrown to his back like Kraisser did yesterday from that position. It was a good dual. We needed that 141 match to win, and I think Casey can pass Woods before the season ends. I was surprised how slow of feet Kennedy has and I wonder if I have had his potential over valued. my only thought is that he still wants to compete for 149. i think that wrestle off was razor thin. at some point, they should give him a look at 157 for sure. Why are you guys not using Cam Robinson at 157? Yes, I heard that it was 2-0 Robinson with less than 30 to go and Johnson got an escape and TD to take it.my only thought is that he still wants to compete for 149. i think that wrestle off was razor thin. at some point, they should give him a look at 157 for sure.
he was insane yesterday lol was trying really hard to bait warner into doing something stupid. props to warner for keeping his cool and staying in the match. damn near stole it at the end. bastida is so talented. he's almost impossible to finish that standing single on. i highly recommend checking out his ncaa match against amos last year where he defends it right into his own inside trip. one of the coolest things i've seen.It was a great dual, Batsida is fantastic but he was simply too wound up - my buddy kept saying "he's going to lose a point doing something dumb" and that headgear pull came shortly later. It almost cost him the match and his antics could have been another point. I like the fire, I like the wrestler and he seems like a good dude, but he just needs to not go up to 11 when he's on the mat.
You been a fan since the year Carl invented wrestling! Nice!tbh, the isu rivalry doesn't excite me. i'm not from iowa and iowa state hasn't beaten them during my 13 years as a fan. and most of those duals weren't even competitive.
He hasn’t wrestled forever. I recall a college teammate of mine that didn’t like running; he said after one of our 3-5 mile pre-practice runs: “you get in shape to wrestle by wrestling”.
Plus matches are not 30+ min of constant low-level pace. They're often bursts, and at most 3 min between stops.I've never understood the idea of long distance running in season. It wastes upperbody strength and explosiveness.
Mmmmm...tbh, the isu rivalry doesn't excite me. i'm not from iowa and iowa state hasn't beaten them during my 13 years as a fan. and most of those duals weren't even competitive.
it doesn't count if he deletes them doncha know?
Seemed grounded at PSU along with his first roomie, DJ.When I hear Tim Johnson, I think of PSU Football great, Tim Johnson. Pastor in Orlando, FL. Just an amazing human being.
"may" is doing a lot of work in that tweet.
He did say down the line this season. 10 minutes is down the line, no?
Unfulfilled prediction relates to goings-on bow exactly?
It was Spencer's decision - and he made that very clear. Believe what you want. He also said it will be his decision on if and when from here on out.The Brands are willing to sacrifice Spencer's health for an early season non-conference dual win.
This sounds like the truth to my ear.It was Spencer's decision - and he made that very clear. Believe what you want. He also said it will be his decision on if and when from here on out.
At least be objective about what happened - I know you might want to just get a reaction from the locals but try to actually point out what initiated his response.Woods stalled like crazy in the third and then HE had the nerve to get upset. Lame.
Wow - so Mineo is a reporting someone in a crowd of more than 15,000 may have said something stupid. Funny how Mineo is an idiot until he reports something anti-Iowa for the umpteenth time.
i'm sure woods would have been pretty happy if swiderski had chosen to wrestle the second period instead of laying on his belly locking his hands to keep from getting turned for two minutes.Woods stalled like crazy in the third and then HE had the nerve to get upset. Lame.
On the other hand, you just may have a bit of a Tin Ear. I think that statement MAY have been an attempt to take some heat off Tom.This sounds like the truth to my ear.
I'm pretty sure you call out all of the Iowa fans who want to pin (no pun intended) Cael for whatever the conspiracy of the moment is. Well, you're being that fan from the Penn State perspective now.On the other hand, you just may have a bit of a Tin Ear. I think that statement MAY have been an attempt to take some heat off Tom.
I wonder if it’s the same “guy in a crowd of 15,000” that has done all these horrible things over the years! Amazing, isn’t it? Yeah… Pointing out racism and egregious acts that are habitual = anti Iowa!Wow - so Mineo is a reporting someone in a crowd of more than 15,000 may have said something stupid. Funny how Mineo is an idiot until he reports something anti-Iowa for the umpteenth time.
Almost always the athlete wants to go and the staff is cautious. That is in any amateur sport. Pro sports is a different story. If I had to guess how it went down, I would guess Spencer was pushing to go.On the other hand, you just may have a bit of a Tin Ear. I think that statement MAY have been an attempt to take some heat off Tom.
