Iowa v Iowa St

i'm sure woods would have been pretty happy if swiderski had chosen to wrestle the second period instead of laying on his belly locking his hands to keep from getting turned for two minutes.
You’re equating Woods’ hard ride causing Swiderski to struggle on bottom with Woods sprinting away like Usain Bolt?

That’s ridiculous.

I wonder if it’s the same “guy in a crowd of 15,000” that has done all these horrible things over the years! Amazing, isn’t it? Yeah… Pointing out racism and egregious acts that are habitual = anti Iowa!

Then say it's an individual acting stupid and don't indite an entire crowd and fan base. But I get that's your schtick. Do better.

I'm pretty sure you call out all of the Iowa fans who want to pin (no pun intended) Cael for whatever the conspiracy of the moment is. Well, you're being that fan from the Penn State perspective now.
No, you are wrong. I have never called out an Iowa Fan for anything related to any conspiracy concerning Cael. Anywayyyyy, don't read too much into my post. Believe me, it is not nearly as conspiratorial as I believe you think it is.

I'm simply pointing out that you are making an assumption that the coaches aren't looking out for Spencer. You'd rather assume the negative here than the positive.

So, did you hear this yourself or are your reporting what someone told you? You don't think you could walk through most any crowd and hear something vile? And last time I checked, IF someone said "deport Bastida" that isn't really racist. It might be crude or inappropriate, it's not automatically racist. The term "deport" could be used on anyone, say maybe on that supposedly hated Russian on the team. But then you probably wouldn't have reported that one.

You’re joking right? Yes the same individual for all these events over the years, I’m sure Lmao.

you're right. i forgot to add that swiderski was in reverse for the entire 1st period too. 5 minutes of stalling is more than 2 minutes of stalling.

have you tried not being an emotional meathead? iowa isn't evil. their guy was clearly in the right in this total non-issue. relax.

Where did I say "same individual"? Oh by the way, if you want any level of credibility, don't resort to deleting tweets that show how little you actually are in the know.

this is a country full of racist sh*tkickers. i don't think that's news. i hate that iowa has idiots in the crowd. but lets not pretend its representative or condoned. they have 10k people at every dual. statistically, SOME of them are going to be racist. i don't doubt this happened. i've heard similar awful jeers at nfl, mlb, and nba games too. you're naïve if you think the rec hall crowd doesn't have racists too. they aren't representative of the psu program.

the whole narrative is a bit of a cheap shot imo. we've seen nothing from the actual program that would make you think they have a race problem. in fact, one of their top recruits several years back, skonieczny, was run out of the room quickly because he was such a racist asshole and his teammates hated him.

Man...if you watched that match and came away thinking it was defined by either guy stalling, I don't really know what you (either of you, really) were watching.

And finally, at least spell the guy's name right. It's Bastida, not Batista. Almost like you assumed, eh? See how that works?
I know what

You guys are the easiest fan base to troll, ever.

Still didn't answer my question, did you? Maybe that's because they see through your half-assed biased opinions. I won't call you a journalist because at one point they were expected to tell the truth and let that all be sorted out. That's far too good for you. And for you, when is trolling supposed to be a good thing from someone who claims to be in the media?

"Deport" ? Are we positive there wasn't a Frenchman in the stands toasting a fine performance by Batista?

I see. When you lose the debate, resort to name calling. Got it. Carry on.

Why would you call me a journalist? I run a free Facebook forum and get paid to troll Iowa- didn’t you hear Brands presser? I claim to be from the media? Dang I guess I quit my day job, shouldn’t have…

100%. i'm being facetious because that guy is suffering from hawkeye hysteria.

Whoa! First I heard that about Nate S - yeah, he got disappeared and I always wondered what happened. Any details?

i guess i probably should be careful because it's hearsay, but it was always a mystery to most of us on HR and then eventually a few insiders posted about him not being a program "fit." and then one guy added detail that he kept horrifying his teammates by saying racist stuff out of nowhere and nobody liked him. stuck in my mind because i loved him as a prospect, so i always wondered what happened. and that era of hawkeyes wasn't exactly full of angels either so it makes sense that it had to be bad.

It was Spencer's decision - and he made that very clear. Believe what you want. He also said it will be his decision on if and when from here on out.
Any chance Spencer could decide to appease HR folks and to go at 133 in the PSU / Iowa match? It would do wonders for the Hawk nation psyche if Specer would lay it on line and TF RBY.

Why do you think Spencer said what he said. Most athletes returning from an injury don't normally say they will return on their own terms and only their terms as Spencer said. Generally they say they will get with the medical staff and coaches and together they will decide how to best move forward. Right? Why do you think he worded it the way he did? That's right, it is starting to come to you now, isn't it?

No. It is racist, as well as crude, inappropriate and just plain #*cking stupid. Nice try though.

Yeah, no huge loss from googling the guy. It seemed from the outside like an immature guy who wanted to go back home and hang out with his high school crew.

Let me know when someone reports PSU fans in Rec Hall or BJC were chanting something that could be construed as racist.

Then it would appropriate to diminish bad Hawk fan behavior by pointing out "you guys did it to".

You do rationalize a lot, but like I have said. You know better and thank goodness you are here to keep us humble.

I did not hear anything racist from any of the fans near me. I have a ton of Hawkeye friends and family and none of them would be yelling that crap. Yelling for BS stall calls, thinking the ref is a cheating bastard, thinking everyone admires the ugly black singlet..yep... racist taunts nope.

I feel so dirty defending Hawkeye fans, but this is not acceptable behavior in the eyes of the coaches, wrestlers, or fans in Iowa City.

I will also go on record saying I didn't like our antics during the 197 match and I'm a huge fan. Just wrestle and get another takedown instead of taunting. KD didn't like it either. Warner is way to dangerous to show boat against. It was a great dual and I actually had many Iowa fans compliment our boys and what we have going on in Ames. I was in a group of 7 with just myself and my cousin as ISU fans and the other five are Hawkeyes. We all rode home together and no fists were thrown. I'm s little proud of all of the young men that wrestled that day.

an isolated fan yelling something racist isn't a "chant." a chant connotes that it was a coordinated group effort. i would literally bet my life that at some point a psu fan has yelled something racist. is it as prevalent as it is at carver? not from what i can tell, but i also don't think it's fair to paint the 10k fans in carver with the sins of an isolated few.

Hey James,
What do you think about ISU being in the top 5 for the youngest Ferrari?
I think it would be a good fit.
I'm not really sure what to wish for on this one. The kid is a beast, and the sins of his brother are in no way his sins, but I still feel nervous as this team has very good chemistry building and would hate to mess with that. I guess I will trust the coaches we hire to make these tough calls.
