Are you saying Hawkeye fans don’t care to see kids from Iowa succeed if they choose to go to college out of state?
Are you saying you will cheer for Lee, Desanto, Murin, Young, and Kemerer to succeed at nationals?
In today's wrestling world, with Iowa battling tooth and nail for the top spot in the race for third it is much easier to root for PA kids wearing a Hawk singlet.
I really don't start watching until quarter finals, so will any of them except Lee even still be wrestling?
So you want to see Teske beat Spencer if the two met in the finals this year.

The likelihood of that happening is the same as the other 4 winning national titles so yes, i would be ok with Teske beating Spencer
You do realize that they aren't even remotely the only PA kids at their weights, right?
Just at 133: Lizak, Pletcher, Parker, Courtney, Myers, Phillippi will all qualify for nationals; and Trampe and Koleno could.
Point being that there will be many matches where PA will succeed regardless of whether or not the Hawks do.
Just don’t tell people that it’s inappropriate to post scores of other sporting events within another thread. You will end up being painted as the bad guy...
I’m a PSU fan first. I wish for the best possible finish for all of them regardless of where they are from. After that, I do like to see kids from Pennsylvania do well. Some more than others. Hell, I was sitting here reading the pbp of the Iowa match on HR and I can see Murins parents place from the bedroom window. Since I’ve watched him wrestle since he was a kid, I obviously hope he does well. If Nick Lee doesn’t win it all then I hope he does ...that is, If it doesn’t cost PSU the team title. Like I said, I’m PSU fan first.
I’m actually the first person to do it in this thread and never even thought about it. After it was pointed out though, I realize it was a shitty move and understand why someone would become pissed.
I was going to point that out but I’m tired of arguing tonight. And the more I talk the more pronounced the lisp becomes.
Yes, I realize this. At the end of the day you will cheer for Penn St guys to succeed first no matter where they went to high school just like I will cheer for Iowa guys to succeed even if all 10 went to high school in PA. And if it helps your team win, you will cheer against every Iowa wrestler to lose just like I will cheer for Penn St guys to lose. Can we agree on that?

No worries, I’m not sure if it was you last year or not. I was really just venting when I complained. Then everybody and their brother started ganging up on my saying how it was ok or whatever. I didn’t want a pound of flesh, but an “I get it” would have been nice.
Funny thing, I was on your side but didn’t participate in the discussion. And here I was tonight, never crossed my mind that I was playing spoiler.
Exactly my thoughts for Iowa. That’s why I don’t understand the constant need to point out that we have half our starters from PA. If we ever want to beat you guys we need to get the best guys no matter where they went to high school

No argument here. I want Cael to bring in the best he can possibly bring in regardless of where they are from. Would it hurt my feeling if we won a title with no PA wrestlers? Not even a little. But would it be anymore special to me if PSU won the title with all 10 starters from Pa? Well yeah....of course it would.
