Yeah, found this surprising given he'll have to pick 65 or 74 again for 2024. Wonder if there is more to the story, or if he just misses competing.

Weight wise going into the Olympics it really doesn’t make a lot of sense. He was always the ultimate tweener. He was never close to as effective at 65kg and was too small for 74kg. Will be interesting to see which way he goes. The bigger question for me though is his position as developmental team coach. I wonder if he is still going to coach the U20 and U17 teams at the upcoming World championships

I get it--that was what I was speculating to as "more to the story," potentially. He's barely been in that seat a year at this point. Maybe he's keeping the role, but fitting training in where he can (probably not too hard in Colorado Springs). Maybe the job wasn't a good fit. He's still listed in the USA Wrestling Directory, FWIW....
