Somewhat OT... not to totally disagree with "lurker", but because most of the actions taken by the BOT since the Sandusky scandal have obviously been intentional, I believe that a lack of testosterone is not the issue. It's a total lack of INTEGRITY!!! What absolutely baffles me is that so many supposedly upstanding people (our BOT) have lost their moral compass and not one of them has been willing to speak out against the injustice and the lies. Either they are all up to their collective asses in something extremely scandalous (and legally actionable) or certain power brokers are and are holding a very large hammer over everyone's head and will crush/ruin the first one that gets out of line. Whatever is being covered up must really be horrific for all these self-righteous appointed "protectors of the university" to sit on the sideline and allow PSU, Paterno et al to be publically and repeatedly maligned by ESPN and their minions, Herbie, Mushmouth, and others without so much as a peep in defense.
Gawd, I hate these bastards - both the BOT (minus the elected members - although they have been missing in action lately) and the media jackwagons who continually perpetuate the false narrative.

I absolutely refuse to listen to any asshat on that network....the only reason I ever turn it on is because of the games. They are losing people by the second....someone wrote on another thread that they are quickly turning into MTV....it's amazing how many scumbags that station employs. Seriously ask yourselves this question...what reporter on that site is worth a shit? probably can't name 3....

John Butchigross is a nice guy and likes Penn State. John Anderson is a good guy and has nothing but respect for PSU. Todd Blackledge and Joe Tessitore in the booth.
That's about it. Melanie Collins is a good kid but doesn't work for ESPN. Lisa Salters loves PSU though, but doesn't cover college sports.
Forgot Blackledge, seriously don't have a clue of the rest you mentioned. Any game being broadcast concerning PSU, I tune into Jones & Ham preshow and game.

If you broke down Jack Ham's pregame analysis of the game, you would find he was dead on, 100% correct on the entire Wisconsin game plan and their personnel. He basically predicted what needed to happen for PSU to win. It was uncanny.
Wonder why...or maybe he has...Todd Blackledge...one of their ESPN Colleagues...has not said anything to Howard or Kirk?
Is the Paterno family free to file suit against Disney, ESPN and the commentators personally for defamation or does the go away upon death.
You present formal legal action against these clowns and they shut their traps fast. And, I would start with the parent company Disney to get their in house counsel engaged. Hell maybe they agree to settle and also can Herbie & Howard in the process - A true win-win! Its Christmas time one can only hope.
Glad Fox Sports is getting involved with the Big Ten next year their pregame and broadcast of the championship game were a breath of fresh air! (Except for Wannstadt of course).

I think making this a party line issue is too simplistic. If it were simply a matter of bad PA GOP, why haven't the PA Dems made an issue of it? Wouldn't that pretty much assure Dems win every election for the foreseeable future? Unless of course, the Dems are involved just as deeply.
Let's not forget: Seth Williams- until recently a Dem. Wolf did nothing to help Casey, and in fact called for her to resign. Dambly, appointed to the BOT by Rendell. Both Ciavarella and Conahan (the Luzerne County judges convicted in the Kids for Cash scheme) are Democrats.
Let's face it, both parties in PA are ridiculously corrupt and don't mind the other side getting some goodies, because they know they are getting their own as well.

The truth is we’re never gonna get an even break with the talking heads of the media. Nor with the pollsters. Nor with the officials in this horseshit conference. Anyone who hopes otherwise does not know history. Franklin needs to explain that to the team.
That way they’ll know that the whole world is rooting against them on October 21. This should be a big-time motivator.
But if they come out and play their A-game against Michigan, they will win nevertheless. Because our A-game is much better than Michigan's. It's not even close, in fact.
Meanwhile, NBC has slotted Notre Dame-USC directly against us that Saturday evening. So our game will NOT have the national spotlight. But who cares? The main thing is to beat Michigan. Everything else will take care of itself.
Iowa-PSU game went up against the MSU-ND game a couple of Saturday nights ago and we had about a 33% bigger audience.
Lets run the table this year, win the B1G again and get into the playoffs. That is the best response to mushmouth and herby.
