Keystone Classic Thread

Cael's quote was "we'll go with Jimmy for NOW". That does not equate to an automatic year-long guarantee.

That's fine. Jimmy's done nothing to say otherwise. But there's a weird myth that surrounds Moss because of his greco background, pin of Heil, and his Scuffle run two years ago. He's put up bonus on 3 NCAA qualifiers. Heil, David Pearce (MD), Danny Sabatello (MD).

Nolf 4-2 halfway through 1st.

Nolf 8-3 end of 1st. just over minute of RT-adv.

15-5 midway through 2nd. 1:29 RT-adv.

19-7 end of 2nd. 2:01 RT-adv.

Oh-oh clocks stopped on summary....think it might be....Nope, 25-10 TF.

Hawkeye Report may be right: It's only late November, but we've got problems at 141, and 133 isn't looking too hot either for us.

Gulibon and Moss have been around for awhile, so I think I understand what PSU has at 141. It's not ideal, for sure. However, Cortez has like six collegiate matches at 133. While the 133 semi-final bout today was rather disappointing, I think it may be a little early to really understand what we have there.

I'm still not sure why some people are so high on Cassar. He has yet to prove anything at the D1 level. He made a World team which did not have any big names in his bracket. After two surgeries, who knows how he truly is. As of right now, I don't know how some people can justify Cassar will come in better than Cutch or even Stout. Maybe I'll be wrong, but who knows.
Casser will beat Clutch...Seen them wrestle last year....Guy is really good....He will be back in a month...

Cenzo winning 4-2 with 0:42 RT-adv midway through 1st.

6-4 after 1st, Cenzo gave up late reversal. Cenzo has RT-adv at 1:12.

Cenzo escapes early in 2nd to take 7-4 lead and preserve 1:03 RT-adv.

Cenzo got an additional point (I'm guessing stalling, but could have been a penalty point), leads 8-4 after 2 and still has 1:03 RT-adv.

Campbell escapes early, but Cenzo gets immediate TD - leads 10-5 and building RT-adv.

Looks like they took TD down on a challenge. Cenzo up 8-5.

That's how it ends, Cenzo 9-5 with RT point (1:30 of RT-adv).

Man, that's not how the Hall match went at all. Your HR posters are awful.

"Yep. I just watched it. He gave up 4 back points on a tilt. Totally outwrestled the kid the other 6 and a half minutes (3 tds to none I believe)."--Papabear, Not an Iowa guy

"He gave up the winning point on a release. Not good."--FineMaterial, PSU Guy

Geno - Shakur 0-0 halfway through 1st.

0-0 going into the 2nd. Morrelli on top.

Shakur out after 0:26 seconds, 1-0.

That's how 2nd ends. Geno takes bottom to start 3rd.

Geno out after 15 seconds, 1-1 Geno has a very small RT-adv (0:11).

That's how it ends, going to extra periods.

Nothing in SV1. Geno on top TB1

Geno rides him out.

Shakur returns the favor....

Nothing again in SV. Geno down first this time.

Shakur rides him out.

Not sure what happened Flo summary appeared to show Shakur with a reversal but score did not change (but RT clock did).....

I think Shakur won it, but not sure.

Ahhhh, they just posted it - Shakur not only reversed him, but won by Fall.

it was previously reported but to confirm. JB said the wrestle off between these two was 3-1 in OT.

HR already questioning if we have the potential for more than 2 AA's from the following weights: 125,133,141,165,174,197 HWT o_O

Most of HR is filled with delusional posters desperately hoping that if they say this kind of nonsense enough it will become true. The fact is that Iowa has become boring. Their guys don't score. They aren't fun to watch. The Brands bros have become the Bland bros and they know it.

Campbell is tough. I feel the same way about Joseph and 157 as I did about McIntosh and 184. So many more of those takedowns he'd convert. But I'll get over it.

Snooze-fest so far. I suppose that can happen with two teammates who probably spar with each other most every day.

cant say that rasheed doesnt have energy. a lack of scoring, but not short on action in OT

You think Joseph is undersized at 165? That was the common perception with Mac at 197, but I don't get that same idea about Joseph (caveat - small sample size).

Deserving win. Geno did absolutely nothing. As he did in the wrestle-off, according to Cael.

Bo 4-2 midway through 1st 0:25 RT-adv. They're in neutral.

That's how 1st ends. Bo down to start 2nd.

5-2, Bo out after 12 seconds.

TD Bo 7-2 and building RT.

9-3 after 2, Bo with 1:27 RT-adv.

Clock stopped, I think its Bo by......false alarm but Bo got NF points 14-5 half a minute left.

But there's the fall!!!

And for the third time I didn't say 133 was a problem. I said that it doesn't AT THIS TIME look quite as good as what we thought. Our expectations might have been a little high.

It was really boring honestly until the 3rd period. Too much respect for one another. They did some scrapping after that. Rasheed seem to get after the attacks more just couldn't finish. Geno is very fundamentally sound. Tough decision for Cael ahead
