If that's the thinking, Hammond should have been the guy last year
Well, no. Especially with the Shakur we saw throughout most of the season. Additionally, who can score the most points at nationals should Always be the reasoning, Jimmy ain't winning more than 1 match

I was totally on board with Rasheed unitl that Open they sent him to. He was about dead by then. He wasn't scoring any bonus at that point.

So, we officially on Team Kade at 141? Feel like he's more likely to pick up early round or back side bonus points

I would go with Kade. Jimmy seems to be suffering from burn out. He shows no enthusiasm for the sport. He seems to be a fine young man and has had a good career. There just doesn't seem to be any further upside to that career.

I don't think we score at this weight at nationals with either wrestler. I'd just like to see the one with a year of eligibility ahead of him and some enthusiasm for taking the mat get the chance to wrestle.

Which tournament last year did Hammond end up higher than his teammates last year? Not the scuffle where Morelli was tops at 165 among PSU wrestlers.

Does it really count when his tournament is ended by Morelli at both NLO and Scuffle? Morelli is quite known to scout his teammates well. But still, Jimmy must have beaten Moss in the practice room. So it's still somewhat similar. By JUST the reasoning that Moss gives you better bonus point opportunities... that would lead you to Hammond last year.

I'm sticking with Jimmy. I have for this long, I might as well stick with him to the end.
I'm not a jimmy fan. Getting pinned in a tourney like this is near unforgivable. What's the room history on Kade / JG? It may be time to give Kade a shot. Cutting off Jimmy in his 4th year stinks, but so does Jimmy.

Speaking of Morelli Lemon Pop, you have dogged him for the past year. He has looked really good at 174 so far yet you have nothing good to say about him. Part of what makes you a delta bravo I guess.

My point is Moss has better bonus point potential and he does better in tournaments than Jimmy does. Hopefully he wins his final. Go Lions

Moss seems to be getting better. Jimmy not so much.

Not in this thread, but I didn't dog him in the Army thread when I could have, and I was complimentary after the Stanford match. He looks fine. I haven't watched him this tournament because I've been catching Cenzo and Rasheed around that time. Those are two of my favorite wrestlers. Sorry.

Whether you denigrate Cortez or minimize Cenzo beating Walsh on your board, I'm quite confident there are less holes in PSU's lineup than there are in black and gold. Though just my 2 cents.

::sigh:: I've been watching Cortez since he was a sophomore in high school. Was hoping he would come to Iowa. Against decent competition, it's almost always very close. Freestyle, folk. Doesn't mean it's how he will end up. Maybe there is a Jason Nolf inside waiting to bust out.

As for Cenzo, 12-5 sounds pretty dominant over a guy like Rider, but than that wasn't the whole story was it? For example, I've already heard that Hall was the aggressive one his whole match but made a stupid decision or two in the end and lost. Is that denigrating Brucki?

Jimmy/Moss is a hard one to figure out. I'm not in the room, Cael is, I will trust whatever decision Cael makes as the best one for the team.

Man, that's not how the Hall match went at all. Your HR posters are awful.

Hawkeye Report may be right: It's only late November, but we've got problems at 141, and 133 isn't looking too hot either for us.

You can see right away where Oklahoma State has a big advantage over us for the title: They'll pick up a possible title with Heil, and we might not even qualify and if we do, doubtful we get more than a point or two.
