latest Suriano news

Similarly, I haven't read anything on here since Thursday. As of Thursday, popular opinion seemed to be that he was coming back. Was there something that came out to change that? Now it seems like the thought is he's not coming back. I think I've missed 5-7 pages so I don't have time for that type of light reading.
I have read every post and can't tell what changed to shift the collective thought.

Maybe the coursework is too hard for him. His rational thought process is, IMO, suspect.
Maybe he ran out of gas, or got a flat tire, or lost his tux at the cleaners. That or he locked his keys in the car. It might have even been the earthquake or the terrible flood. Locusts? It probably wasn't Nick's fault. :)

There are plenty of posters here who aren't necessarily insiders but know other insiders and you can kind of pick up tone. Also, Ames2State is almost certainly an actual insider, based only on past accurate predictions, so if he says he's gone I'd be surprised if he wasn't.

I've heard from a reliable source that Nick is leaving PSU because of Zain's use of a bow and arrow

Haven't read the last few pages.. no longer any hope of him staying I suppose but is there anything in the last 2 pages of this thread that is concrete or still same old speculation?

As far as the injury goes, does anyone have any credible information at all that expands upon what the Surianos' beef was about how it was handled?

Nope. Not even Nick knows what he was thinking. In fact, don't nobody understand the thoughts that are coming outta his head.

It is a cool structure and nice view of the city of Reykjavik from the top...

Wasn't really planning on it (hadn't thought of it), but now that you say that, guess we may have to head up for the view while we are in Reykjavik.

More travel info. The thread that keeps giving....on the way to 3000.

I would imagine there will be quite a few people waiting and trying to hit that #3000.

Not me, though-I think hockeygod should get it!

we are not going to get to the top 10 over night... to be a consistent top 10 team it will take time for a rising program.....where RU wrestling has gotten to from a decade ago is already tremendous. RU is headed in the right direction...if you can't see the steady progression and the hotbed for talent NJ wrestling is then ur fooling urself.

Two top 20 finishes this century does not make a top 20 team.

And ...

2015 31st
2016 15th
2017 19th

... does not look like a "steady progression."

PSU wrestling=best in college
RU wrestling=mediocre
PSU education=top rated
RU education=mediocre

Complete head scratcher as to why Benedict Nick would downgrade.
Signed by Penn State fan on my .

My good friend is a PSU grad who lives in NJ. Her son is going to Rutgers. She attended an orientation day with her son. The speaker referred to Rutgers as "The Harvard of the Public Schools." I joke around a lot, but this woman is very sincere. She was serious.

The thing that pi$$es me off the most about this situation is that I was really looking for to the Suriano/Cruz match at the dual in December. Lehigh is a pretty short drive for me, I always hit that one.

As far as NCAA's? Barring injuries, yeah, PSU probably won't have the title wrapped up by Saturday morning. Might have to wait until after 174 or so this year.;)

When I was in grad school there (all from my recollection), there were vastly different and distinct colleges for undergrads in and around New Brunswick. There were Rutgers College, which was very selective; University, somewhat less selective; Livingston, which was not selective at all; Douglas (women only); Cook (agriculture and environmental sciences). So it was a mixed bag. But Rutgers College was much harder to get into at that time, was much better academically and sort of carried the academic reputation of Rutgers (at least that is what we were told as grad students). It all changed in 2007 when there was a lot of consolidation at Rutgers.

My offices were in the Old Queens Campus at Winant's Hall, which was the original dormitory. It was the original campus and, to me, is the nicest part of the New Brunswick campus. It's compact (6 acres) but it really is beautiful. Surrounded by stone walls, you access it by one of four gates. Worth a trip across the river if you go to the dual this season and have a little time to kill. Plus, you can hit the famous grease trucks for a bite if you are so inclined. ;)

So more history and travel info for you. :)

Grease trucks are no longer located there, unfortunately, although 1 of them has a store front in that location, which was previously just a parking lot but is now a very beautiful and multi-functional place known as "the yard".

When we went to the match with Ohio State, what three years ago, they were across College Avenue from The Barn, not right on College Avenue on the east end of campus where they were originally . No more? Boo. I guess that area is now "the yard".

My favorite part of Rutgers life when I was there was the subsidized Rutgers Pub in the basement of the Commons (was that what the building was named?).

The speaker meant Rutgers football program which, I agree, is on par with Harvard's.
Ha, that's funny. APR actually used to be top 5-10 in the country under Schiano. Great academic support system then so that is not that far off. Previous coach, Flood, blew that up pretty quickly. Sad.

Pastrami and swiss on rye from a NJ grease truck. Or, bacon, egg and cheese on a hard roll from one of those little store fronts are two great reasons to always have cash on hand in NJ.

Grilled chicken tonight(rosemary, olive oil, sea salt), sauted spinach, local toms and sliced MD peaches on vanilla ice cream. Washing it all down with a bottle of Oregon Pinot Noir. Spent the last 3 days with my son in the mountains of WV. A rattler, a bald eagle, mountain biking near Seneca rocks, a little fly fishing. The C&O and Greenbrier rail trails. I am all in. Since the 125 pound hostage situation started my weight is down to 190. Last year at this time I was 215. Go State. He's just a kid, we should all relax.

As I said over on the mat... I refuse to buy any of this until 21 Guns confirms this info. Before his most recent hiatus here (1st was during the Big 10 tourney), he guaranteed all the f us ignorant posters that...

1. This Suriano news is a joke and just tOSU fan conspiracy theories are ting to bring them on par with OSU.
2. Nato is not, emphatically not, moving down to 125, he called him tom133 he knows more than the av rage poster.
3. McKenna is guaranteed not going to tOSU.... in fact PSU is a lock.

Does anyone have any idea why we haven't seen Guns on any board past 1-2 months? Something's not adding up.

P.S... THIS GUY IS ON FIIIIRRE

And PSSS...... I STILL don't think all this enough for OSU to match Penn State. Tom Ryan needs to do whatever's possible to learn how to get his guys to peak a few weeks later like Cael has mastered.... and this is coming from an OSU fan. The Buckeyes will field the NCAA's best runner up team of all time come 2017/18 season...and that really blows. I just wish Nato and Micah and Snyder, 3 as dominant guys as you'll see next season, learned dominant finishing moves and finished their opponents next season. It's the ONLY WAY OSU sniffs PSU come tourney time. It is soooo difficult to match PSU's Big 3 bonus point machines in points (Zain/Nolf/Nickal). And what's worse, arguably the most talented of them all will wreak bonus point havoc this fall with a full year under his belt in Hall.
