Lehigh Match Thread...

I knew this would be the response and it’s fair given the score but I stand by my statement.

On a different note, I think the match up with Lehigh will be fun to watch. Hope both teams are healthy and we get to see the marquee matchups.

...do Turk and Dippery have anything to do with Lehigh vs Penn State?...
.. I didn't think so... :)

...next up is our match vs Lehigh at the PPL Center in Allentown next Sunday at 2 PM..

Thanks for the heads up on the arrival. Just wondering, are you parking there (at PPL) or elsewhere due to the traffic trying to get out of the building post match?

If Cenzo doesn't go then I think there should be concern. I have no doubt he wants this match up and it would indicate (IMO) he is more than banged up.

As PA District One guy, I am interested to see what Jordan can do vs Nick. I'd like to see if Jordan, this bulked up, can push the pace on offense. Nick has been methodically thus far in his approach and seems to know when/where in matches he is trying to set up what he he wants to do. I'd like to see Nick trust his scrambling ability and shoot more often, especially in the first period.

Close but Dippery actually got taken down and then he reversed Turk and got back points. Then he didn’t do anything the rest of the match and he was gassed but for some reason Turk rode him out the 3rd period vs pushing the pace and forcing him into something stupid.

I know this will sound like a homerish comment but if they meet 10 times Turk wins 8 or 9 of them. Dippery is solid on top but he caught Turk in a bad position on the reversal.

You're quite correct. Stating Turk would win 85% of the time going forward is a stretch to any objective reviewer after that match.

That said, you obviously know a lot more about your wrestler than I, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and call it 50-50 in future matches between the two.

Way I look at it if Turk can stay healthy in March he will surprise many people..He got hurt also his red shirt year and then he missed all of last year so he is really rusty yet.

Hope springs eternal in IC. See e.g. Brody Grothus.

The Patriot League Network schedule for 1st week of Dec. is out and it confirms that it will be streaming the Penn State @ Lehigh dual on Sunday at 2pm

I expect it to be at this link: https://watchstadium.com/live/penn-state-at-lehigh/

or go to: https://watchstadium.com/network/patriot-league-network/ and filter "wrestling" under "live events" tab as a backup.

This posting will likely get buried in this thread, so both of the above links have been placed in the pinned post above "2017-18 TV & Video Streaming Options" for quicker reference.

...if Joseph can't go maybe we'll see Kutler and Preisch down a weight...
...I'm sure Preisch would like another crack at Hall...
...could make the match verrrry interesting... :)

Down a weight? Doubt that's possible. Both had to be 2-3 pounds from 165 and 174 last Sunday per descent rules. My guess is both are above their current weight class weights (174 and 184) now (Tuesday)...

Am I reading the suggestion correctly?

I'm even more sure Preisch would like to eat.

There's a reason he's at 184, and it's not just about squeezing other guys into the lineup.

I'm pretty sure that Kutler has only wrestled at 174 so far this year. I know you are into detail, Roar. :)

Important notice for those of you who rely on old-fashioned radio broadcasts as their primary or back-up method of hearing JB:

Sunday's match with Lehigh will be broadcast on ESPN Radio 1450, not the normal WRSC 1390.

If you listen to it via GoPSUSports there is no impact to you.

The "TV & Streaming Options" post pinned above has been update for this as it includes a radio column as well.

...it looks like only three wrestlers who faced Penn State last year will be going against us again tomorrow... or could be four...

A lot of good matches. Really looking forward to seeing how our 33 and 41 do. Big opportunities there.
