Anyone know why Marinelli medical forfeited out? I may have missed this somewhere?

That’s a bit uncalled for. Marinelli seems to be a great person who handles himself with class. Tough break for him to have injury default out. Every one of those wrestlers out there are dealing with more than their fair share of adversity. Let’s maybe display a little more dignity than HR.Supposedly broken rib
Probably from whatever he choked on
So you think Joe is going to be seeded 8th next year?I see he’s coming back.
How much would you pay to see Joe Lee deck him on Friday night next year, or is that too cruel a thought?
Not to mention the stress of the loss of his best friend and wife’s brother a year ago or so (if I remember right). May have just been too much. Everyone has their breaking point. I was disappointed for him, thinking I wanted him to win out of sheer respect for the joy he and Vincenzo provided us...win or lose. They were must see every time.
I hope he heals soon, whatever hurts him.
Barraclaugh might though 🤔So you think Joe is going to be seeded 8th next year?
Did he state this recently? Yesterday many on HR thought he was done at Iowa.I see he’s coming back.

George Steinbrenner called Dave Winfield "Mr May" because of his poor performance in October. Maybe we should call Marinelli "Mr February".Welp. It's not like he shined at nationals before the personal tragedies, so I'm not buying that as a reason for poor performance. It's pretty consistent with what he's done previously in his career.

I don’t mean to question you, though I guess I am, I am just wondering if it is a quite from him.
Ouch!George Steinbrenner called Dave Winfield "Mr May" because of his poor performance in October. Maybe we should call Marinelli "Mr February".

Okay. “Mr. B1G” it is!!!Maybe Mr. Early March as opposed to Mr. Mid March. He has won 4 B1G titles, hasn't he?
Actually I believe he could benefit from a redshirt year to grow into the weightJoe should be the 3 or 4 seed after a great year, but Cael suggests putting him at 8 and everyone agrees. Casey does what Casey does and Joe turns an earlier loss into a win. This may seem optimistic, but why couldn't Joe Lee make a giant leap forward between now and next March? I think he can and will.
Okay. “Mr. B1G” it is!!!![]()
I have a bad feeling about Joe, I hope I'm wrong but some of Cael's comments could be interpreted as being critical of him. He was obviously upset during his consolation loss and then he followed it up by saying it's pretty bad not to win the team title with four national champs then talked about Kerk and Howard's injuries. He expected more out of Joe imo.I see he’s coming back.

I think quite a few members of the "Inner Circle" were writing his resignation letter for him. They were speculating on having Shane Griffith transfer in. Alex has a different plan.Did he state this recently? Yesterday many on HR thought he was done at Iowa.

Shane Griffith to Iowa is like a cow on roller skates - it’s preposterousI think quite a few members of the "Inner Circle" were writing his resignation letter for him. They were speculating on having Shane Griffith transfer in. Alex has a different plan.
Because you know, Griffith is looking to trade that Stanford degree for a piece of parchment from Iowa.

Is that possible. I would like to see that.Shane Griffith to Iowa is like a cow on roller skates - it’s preposterous
How is it that every year im growing into a weight. Does that ever end?Actually I believe he could benefit from a redshirt year to grow into the weight
He has won 3 B1G titles. He has 10 losses in his career, 9 are in March.Maybe Mr. Early March as opposed to Mr. Mid March. He has won 4 B1G titles, hasn't he?
Oh....I made zero comment on his performance. I’m only referencing what might have occurred after the loss. If there was an injury it may have been self induced. If no injury he may have not been up to returning to the mat. Whatever the case, it kinda sucked from my perspective.Welp. It's not like he shined at nationals before the personal tragedies, so I'm not buying that as a reason for poor performance. It's pretty consistent with what he's done previously in his career.

Well most of the Iowa wrestlers are now eligible for social securitySupposedly broken rib

Boom!Rutgers fans think they have a good shot at Griffith. Of course they also think Suriano is coming back.
And like Reslo himself said, EVERYONE is hurt at Nationals, hell Amine was wrestling with one eye.Welp. It's not like he shined at nationals before the personal tragedies, so I'm not buying that as a reason for poor performance. It's pretty consistent with what he's done previously in his career.
I just rewatched the Marinelli / Griffith match and couldn't find any time within that match that Marinelli could have possibly "broken" a rib. It is quite apparent that the tough guy didn't enter the match with an injury as he fully displayed his bulling style until late in the match when most of the steam was gone (similar to what happened to the 2 of their finalist who lost in overtime). It appeared to me that it was more likely a replay of the RBY / Desanto fiasco. And like Reslo himself said, EVERYONE is hurt at Nationals, hell Amine was wrestling with one eye.
If you asked each and every kid there, they would say they are wrestling for “ insert name”. Marinelli’s story was well known simply because somebody made a doc about it. I feel for ALL these kids, but dont expect me not to throw a jab in here and there to the enemy.
