Michigan with 11 players drafted

Maybe, however it's not likethe game was ever in doubt even in the 1st quarter. PSU played a relatively easier schedule down the stretch which helped avoid a second Big Ten loss where Michigan's schedule was back loaded with they're most difficult games at the end of the season. I'm just surprised how much smack talk there is here about a Michigan team that beat your team by 39 in a game that was never close, if they played a little later in the year the game might've been different but Im not seeing a PSU victory regardless (I assume most here would agree). Maybe they were just a bad match up last year

Yeah, you're right. You played Iowa and got beat, PSU mauled them. Yeah, you played OSU and got beat. PSU played them and beat them. Yeah, you played Wisconsin and beat them just the way PSU did. Take your nonsense somewhere else.

Relatively easier schedule that helped them avoid a loss? You mean like OSU? You know the team Michigan lost to? Or Iowa? You know, the team PSU beat like a red headed step child?

I'm just surprised a fan of the third place team in the division would come on the board of the team that won the conference and talk smack.
You're obviously upset as you didn't read the entire post I said "down the stretch" as in later in the year. Also remind me did you play both OSU and Iowa on the road? My question would be do you honestly think PSU would've won had the teams met later in the year? Still haven't talked smack just responding to absurdity. Why so mad?
For the record, I agree with you. In 2016, the programs were in two different places. If I had to bet straight up in a later game on a neutral field, I'd probably pick UM. But where you're wrong is the smack isn't "about a Michigan team." It's about Harbaugh and what he did with what he had. The programs were in different places, yet PSU won the B1G, Harbaugh's team ended up 3rd in its division, lost its most important game of the season (partially because of him--always tough to win in Coumbus but he had the better team IMHO) and then he had 11 players drafted.

EDIT: and by the way, Harbaugh invites the smack. Unfortunately, it's part of what makes him so successful with young players. I've always had a great deal of respect for UM. It's truly a class program. But Harbaugh doesn't represent the program as Bo and LLLoyd did. And I assume you would agree with that. But maybe it's just a sign of the times.
Good post and agree on the Harbaugh thing he kind of brings it on himself, though I'll say he's never had a bad thing to say about PSU so I guess I don't get the anger directed by some here (not you)

UofM played and "mauled" PSU worse than any, so again I just find the trash talk absurd 39 points is worse than a mauling, it's more a murder

You've said all you need to say so time for you to just go away. Let me guess, you're really a Pitt fan, right?

All fine and dandy, I'll just look at the final standings. The Big trophy doesn't mention anything about the Michigan game it just says CONFERENCE champions. Enjoy the division bronze which is really like 4th place. So, you didn't even make the medal stand.

Not sure why such a big deal that a group of 4-5 star Michigan recruits were drafted by the NFL. Granted most were 12-15th year seniors that were only drafted in later rounds with the "hope" some can play. IF they were so good they would have left as juniors and be drafted in the first round (Peppers, like him or not, met that). Think, people think :)

Six in the 1st 3 rounds not bad

I get that, (some are late bloomers) but, for good or bad, OSU is the NFL feeder from the Big 10 (so much talent that gets drafted early and high).
Let's be real, there are NO standards in Div 1 or the NCAA. Each school makes it's own identity. OSU has theirs (factory), PSU (more focused on education than many), Michigan (kind of lost for many years, we will see which direction Harbaugh takes them). He could be very competitive and still be good school. As a fan I hope he does not make another OSU.

Last six games played by both schools

ILL. OSU
MSU. PUR
MD. IOWA
IOWA. IN
IN. RUT
OSU. MSU

So, both teams played 4 common opponents with Mich playing IL and MD with PSU playing Pur and Rut.

I have to say, you don't even troll as good as the average Pitt idiot.

Being the great coach he is, he was able to parlay that talent into a third place divisional finish. Good job Jimmy!!

Precisely. The guy hasn't exactly proven his abilities as a leader of men or as a gameday tactician. He talks a real good game, he recruits, but his players don't do well under pressure -- and that was true at Stanford, it was true in San Fran and it's true now. He hasn't really proven that he can coach.

Franklin on the other hand proved a lot last year.

I'm not counting out Harbaugh at all. He wants to win and he is an extremely hard worker, just like Franklin.

But .... last season certainly left some questions unanswered. I still can't fathom how Michigan dropped a game to Iowa the week after Penn State showed them how to beat the Iowa defense. Michigan had the players to shred that Iowa secondary just like PSU -- but Harbaugh had a tight game plan and his players play tight when under pressure.

Well, most people said we wouldn't beat OSU or Wisconsin. They also doubted we could hang with USC and we did. So I would say we would have had a good shot to beat Michigan if we played later in the year. No one knows for sure, but there's no reason to think Michigan would have won for sure.

So you played both OSU and Iowa earlier in the year and at home, so I was correct thanks. Surely your not suggesting playing a team at home right is as difficult as playing them on the road right?

Umm 49-10 is a pretty good reason right?

His NFC championship as well as his 3 straight NFC championship games proves he knows how to Coach

wow, for some reason I thought Michigan fans were smarter than Pitt fans

but I am man enough to admit when I am wrong.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! Michigan played only 4 road games all season, one of which was Rutgres. Of those 4 road games, Michigan lost two of them. Not very good for a senior-laden team filled with NFL draftees. 2016 was the high water mark for Michigan football under Harbaugh.

I have some more bad news for you. October 21, 2017. Michigan plays @ Penn State.

We'll see Franklin has yet to beat Michigan and hasn't really competed with Harbaugh to this point, not really worried about it honestly it'll be a close game and could go either way

You have an excuse for everything - you won the battle against PSU and lost the war at the end of the day - that's pretty much about it. Maybe you will do better next year maybe not - I will be at the game against you guys and can't wait for some payback. If Jimmy is such a tremendous coach he should roll us again. The rest of what you said is jus talk - and Franklin did the walk last year by winning the conference so stop making excuses and let's see what happens - don't worry you have your built in excuse this year because it's a road game so you can trot that out which I am sure you already prepared do,

And the sanctions had nothing to do with it?

Franklin won the Big Ten title in his 3rd year. How many Big Ten titles does Jimmy have?

Waiting................

What excuses? Pointing out playing teams on the road is more difficult than at home. Congrats on the Big Ten title never said anything different, but might want to tone down the smack talk about a team that literally destroyed PSU
4-3 the last 7.
3-0 in the last 3
