I'd say Notre Dame then the 3 Florida schools then Oklahoma/Texas but you can definitely make an argument for the Sooners
The gold and silver medals awarded, I have to give the bronze to Michigan. This is a team that would be nothing without B1G refs gifting them on defensive holding, pass interference, and offensive holding.
Indiana could beat them today. All they need to do to beat Michigan is to go back to what was working early -- short, quick passes. Wear them down with no huddle. Don't score too quickly.

If you were paying attention, OU fell off a cliff last year folks. Head coach to USC...along with star QB. And many, many transfers left. It's a rebuild. But overall, they took advantage of a down Texas and had a run of very, very good (rarely ELITE) teams. Not really overrated.
But even the premiere programs go through down stretches. This might be a stretch like that for OU after 20 years plus of excellence.

Notre Dame looking a lot better in their wins vs UNC & BYU. It would not surprise me if they end the year ranked.

Syracuse vs NC State next week. Clemson vs FSU.
Syracuse vs Clemson on 10/22.
Syracuse vs ND on 10/29.
Clemson vs ND and Wake Forest vs NC State on 11/5.
ACC might be weak, but Clemson has their 5 toughest games in a 6 game span with a bye week towards the end.
ND could also be looking at playing spoiler vs USC in the regular season finale after what could be a match up of unbeaten the week prior (Trojans vs Bruins). Of course, Ucla plays Oregon in 2 weeks.
If Syracuse wins even one of those games I would be surprised.
They weren’t even good enough to beat Purdue until Purdue rolled up 4 PF’s after their own game winning score in the last minute. Look up that bizarrest of bizarre game endings.
Agree. I think they've always had the defense but their offense has now kicked it into gear with their new QB Pyne, Their RBs and WRs are decent and they've always had top OL and DLs.
They could really have a say in who gets in the Playoffs going forward since they play teams like Clemson and USC. and would not surprise me - one bit - to see them beat both
I watched some of that game, but not the ending. It's not so much that I think they are going to win any of them; it's moreso that the shake out games are b2b2b.
Yea, I have a lot more hope now about my Irish than I did after the first couple of games. I can accept losing to OSU (well, kind of) but the Marshall loss was just a gut punch. The Irish offense, however, has kicked it into a higher gear and our fans are becoming more tolerant of Freeman and OC Rees. Long ways to go though
Josh Gattis is their offensive coordinator. The defense is fine. Gattis is incompetent. Not John Donovan incompetent but incompetent none the less.
I'm curious what happened to DeOnte Thornton, one time PSU commit? Haven't heard his name while Farooq a year younger appears to be their star WR already. Anyone? Is Thornton still with OU?
We need to shut down the little pipeline that opened in our territory to OU & A&M. Look, I get kids in our area going Bama or Clemson or Georgia but A&M and Oklahoma. Seriously, that's snake oil.

Might be but shouldn't be. Losing to Michigan/Penn State isn't comparable to what we've seen from ND, Texas, Oklahoma and the Florida school. A&M too.
