MSU Dogs lead for Stevens (LINK)

How does he have a better chance there than here? I just don't get it !!!

His main competition is Keytaon Thompson. He's a Jr with a redshirt available. In his limited action, about twice as many career passes as Stevens, he has a 46% completion rate. Stevens probably knows Moorhead's offense as well as any player on the Bulldog's team.

Makes sense to me. JoeMo knows what he has at QB. Tommy's dad gives JoeMo a call and asks if Tommy transfers what are his chances. JoeMo tells him that Tommy is better than anybody he has on the roster right now.

Really hope this works out as it seems to be about as perfect a situation as he could hope for. I am hoping he doesn't end up at one of our competitors, that would be awkward

Maybe he'll go there for the classes. Yeah, right. What a joke D-1 college football has become. There's actually more "free agency" in college football now than in the NFL. At least the hypocrisy is being removed fully.

By the way, I wonder why so many posters refer to this "student-athlete" by his first name ("Tommy") when they post; it's almost like they're talking about a 10-year old boy.

Mississippi St Vs Penn State in a NY6 Bowl next year if that happens. TS vs Clifford.

Or the Outback Bowl.....

Just like every poster refers to Woods as "Tiger"; it's almost like they're talking about a golfing buddy.

Or you know, that kid Saquon, or Trace.. or Lavaar. Why is this a question?
The difference is that while sometimes posters say Barkley, McSorley, or Arrington, I have never seen anyone here refer to him as Woods - for that matter this is a near universal phenomenon, even in the media. I think maybe golfers like to fantasize that they will one day have a chance to go a round with "good ole Tiger", not that there is anything wrong with that.

Which college team had the most first round choices last night?

The usual suspects, Alabama and Clemson, had 3 each. So, too, did Mississippi State. The Bulldogs are able to attract their share of talent.

If you have a first name of "Tiger", why would anyone call you anything else? If his name were John Scorpion, I guarantee no one would be calling him John.

I was sort of amazed to see 3 MSU defensive players in the first round. I know their defense was great last year. Does that mean JOMO underachieved there? What kind of team will the be next year replacing that talent.

Probably because, if you take notice, every article written about him since he signed on with PSU he was referenced as "Tommy".

Thats what it means to me.
All that talent on defense, a QB that we were told before the season was excellent and a potential NFL RB.
What happened?

What you will see next is the relaxation of academic requirements.

Phil, Arnold, Jack. Bubba, Rory, etc.

Maybe he had a better repour with JoeMo than Franklin. I've always liked TS and wish him the very best!

Honestly surprised Stevens didn’t make this move last year. Hope it works out well for him.

can you expound on that?
I bellieve the initial sentiment toward Joe after the first three games was not encouraging. MSU fans were very concerned about his style of offense. I really believe Tommy can make Joe's offense complete for this season, providing Tommy stays healthy, which I believe he will. GO TOMMY, win e`m for the gipper. Best wishes young man, whever you go, my entire family will follow and
have you in their heart.

Prediction: Stevens' dad is trying to inflate his stock by leaking that MSU is the frontrunner

Maybe, but I don't see the advantage of trying to inflate his stock. It's not like Scott Boras pumping up the value of a free agent to get a larger contract. Tommy has one year to play and needs to make the most of it. Therefore he'll need to land at a school where he'll be "the guy" and where there's an offensive philosophy in which he can showcase his skills. Is it MSU?? We'll see.....
