The state of Georgia at least as a couple of years ago produces the second highest number of Division I recruits annually only behind Florida which borders it. PA has steadily declined over the years in recruiting. We aren’t GeorgiaWhich one are we?
I'll hang up and listen.
But we wouldn't be Nebraska either. EDIT****We are NOT BLESSED with the talent UGA has garnered post Mark Richt. They bit the bullet...Not sure we are flailing like Nebraska.
We are blessed with the talent, recruiting and transfers that Georgia has had in their Renaissance. A coaching change under simikar circumstances spurred that growth.
I think we are more like U of Texas. An old, proud program who looks good, sells a lot of tickets and gear, but is not "Elite."
Another poster suggested Pre Dabo Clemson. That feels right too.
We are not Ohio State. In the 30 or so years we have been in the Big Ten, especially post John Cooper they have consistently out recruited us, out invested us and did things on the margins that we haven’t and probably shouldn’t do. Logistically they have inherent advantages on us and the rest of the conference. When Michigan has good coaching Carr, Hairball they pretty much have dominated us.But we wouldn't be Nebraska either. A lot of that has to do with Paterno staying too long and us making excuses for FranklinWe are not Ohio State.
