Apologize if this is tangential to the thread, but I thought Nolf’s transition to freestyle would be much easier than Zain’s. Not so much a knock on Nolf (perhaps injuries have held him back), as it is a compliment to Zain. I just thought Nolf’s take down and release style in college would trump Zain’s hammer on top style in the international game. Zain is just impressive.

Zain would do a lot better if they doubled the time you had in par terre. He takes some time to get everything set up and the physical and psychological toll would be a factor.

He also still needs to work on the freestyle quirks, that four he gave up was giving away points.
