We ran on first and got like 12 yards.
So we immediately went to the pass which has failed us all night.

The common denominator is Franklin.
Franklin loses big games like that player who's always injured: some are caused by stupidity, some by lack of preparation, a lot just by bad luck. Or he's like Tarkenton, good but for whatever reason could never win the big one.
Most of the team had the right attitude. It was our QB who started to believe the goddamn news that he was a top five QB in this draft. I think it got into his head.

I feel sorry for Drew he has an arm can make all the passes but just freaks out in the big games.

Disappointing end to the season. If you told me half way through the season that this team made it to the CFP semi's with this WR Corps, I would have been ecstatic. How can PSU not have a single WR that can get separation against a P4 team? If I'm JF, I fire the WR coach tonight and give the pink slip to the whole unit.
We all didnt lose! We watched allar throw an int fo lose the game.
Or throw a safe swing pass to Singleton. Take a shot once we get across midfield. Not where a mistake turns the game to a loss.
It has failed us all season, the rest of the offense has just been able to make up for it.
National semi-final is a good year, no question, but this game was their's to win and they let it go.

The WR coach needs to be fired tomorrow. We had better WR play in Joe’s 3 yards and a cloud of dust years. The entire year they had problems getting separation. Where the F was Evans today. He barely seem to be even on the field.
That was my take from the beginning of the season. Thought maybe he'd turned the corner against USC, but nope. Make big plays in big moments, but too often makes poor (makeable) plays in big moments.

bigger issue I have with Franklin right now is why haven’t we gotten ONE decent WR on this team? That IS on him for not being able to get a game changer and it cost him. I’m not going to pretend like I know what goes into coaching a playoff game and who makes what decisions to pin on a coach but I did see a QB that was way over his head in a big game and WR’s that were invisible.
Our Qb thrown crappy passes all night and somehow it is our receivers again. Announces said he had open guys. Stage just too big for him. He freaks out someway and messes up.
