This is the biggest problem I have with the game.Or throw a safe swing pass to Singleton. Take a shot once we get across midfield. Not where a mistake turns the game to a loss.

That is it. Nothing else to sayOr throw a safe swing pass to Singleton. Take a shot once we get across midfield. Not where a mistake turns the game to a loss.
Throwing the ball over the middle when you can’t get anyone open all night at that spot on the. field was just plain stupid
Absolutely. We could’ve done power rushing from the 25 yard line in overtime and won the game. The game versus Georgia last week was the same thing trying to score at the end of a half. It flipped the game last week and it flipped the game this week.Like seriously? Run the ball and go to OT. Franklin handed them the game. What an idiot.
He's thrown 10 picks in 28 starts....TENThat was my take from the beginning of the season. Thought maybe he'd turned the corner against USC, but nope. Make big plays in big moments, but too often makes poor (makeable) plays in big moments.
Our Qb thrown crappy passes all night and somehow it is our receivers again. Announces said he had open guys. Stage just too big for him. He freaks out someway and messes up.
We win the game, if he makes the simplest, easiest throw for a TD, but nope, so we settle for 3. Those lost 4 points lost us the game. That's not why we lost the game though it was a horrible throw
We have a winner. Thank you.Miracle we made it as far as we did with our wide receivers. MAC level.
He's thrown 10 picks in 28 starts....TEN
I know this may sound weird after making it to semis but Fanklin aint the guy. Had the better team tonight and still lost.
I think when you open up your pocket books., you can go deep with players and pay what you need.. we are still underserved with facilities etc versus certainly any school in these playoffs right now..You think NIL is why they lost?
I agree with your premise. They stopped being kids when they started getting paid millions of dollars to play and the money is coming from our wallets. (At least some is coming from mine)Well, PSU didn’t win, but it was still a fun football game to watch. Great way to spend the evening.
Sun was always going to rise in the morning, win or lose, at my house. (Probably behind the typical gray clouds.)
Hope everyone here can avoid calling each other names and hurling criticism at kids who were playing a game and giving it their best imperfect efforts.
Great season. Good night to all.
There's no "but" to this. The wide receivers are horrible and damn right it's coaching. That's correct.
Yeah our WRs suck, but Allar threw the ball behind, over and under the guys who were open.
The guy just didn't have it tonight.
Shut up dipshit .. any chance you go away.?Drew needs another year, comes back stronger. Not ready for prime time yet, but it could be worse. Lots of bad passes, worst was last.At least many "Penn State fans" got what they wanted tonight
Hopefully Drew enters the portal
Of course.. that is a long term issue.. Allar’s terrible game… the fact we came out so soft in 2 nd half.. our DB falling down., we lost this game no doubt vs ND beating us..I think when you open up your pocket books., you can go deep with players and pay what you need.. we are still underserved with facilities etc versus certainly any school in these playoffs right now..
I'm talking about missing a wide open Singleton on a wheel route for a probable TD. I'm talking about missing a fuking throw a 12 year old could've made that cost us 4 points. He's thrown 10 picks in 28 starts....TEN
One play never decides a game. We had the leaf after that. We had our chances. He played poorly so did King Tracy Miller all the receivers etcWe win the game, if he makes the simplest, easiest throw for a TD, but nope, so we settle for 3. Those lost 4 points lost us the game.
We scored 7 on that driveI'm talking about missing a wide open Singleton on a wheel route for a probable TD. I'm talking about missing a fuking throw a 12 year old could've made that cost us 4 points.
DING DING DING DINGOr throw a safe swing pass to Singleton. Take a shot once we get across midfield. Not where a mistake turns the game to a loss.
I disagree. I think it was the wrong call. There wasn’t anything wrong with seeing if we could get into FG position at the end of the game …. It was just a really, really bad decision by Allar. A throw back across to the middle of the field is really risky, so you need to be completely sure it’s open … and he just turned and fired in a moment. When it first happened, it was so quick that I thought he must have seen a completely uncovered guy. But he panicked. And forced exactly when and where you don’t want to force.
Yeah, I wouldn’t have had an issue with running the clock out and playing for OT, but giving it a go there wasn’t a wrong call, either.
Allar’s got the talent. I’m glad he’s back next year. He can be special. He needs to learn to calm down and focus.
He's thinking "I'm the best NFL QB prospect in college. I'll wow the scouts with this throw late across the middle for a completion," or something similar.Allar was terrible. What are you thinking throwing over the middle off balance to a guy not open who can't make a catch any way. Just eat the ball.
Same non-sense we saw against Oregon. Don't leave things up to chance when time is getting short.I disagree. I think it was the wrong call.
This was a QB having his worst game of the season. Also a QB that his been prone to panic at times. We ran the ball good tonight. You don't need to risk that play. Short passes and run. Be safe. The worst thing that should happen is OT. Once we get to midfield then you can air it out.
True, but I also feel the word of the game is gift. Gifting them by missing on a sure fire TD early, falling down on a 54 yard TD pass and then gift wrapping them a turnover to end the game.PSU: 3 for 11 on 3rd down. ND was 11 for 17. Ballgame in a nutshell.
There was a report Cleveland was directly in his ear, trying to convince him to come out in this draft. He forced it because he believed the hype. Franklin has fault in this because he should have brought him down to earth and calmed him down before the game and throughout the game. That is the difference between Franklin and Freeman. Freeman kept it cool and guided his team despite getting clobbered on both lines of scrimmage in the first half. Franklin does not have the composure for these games. And I’m not sure he’ll ever have it if he doesn’t have it at the age of 52. I guess we should be happy to win double digits every season but goddamn, I wanna win a natty. We have zero WR catches....how Hagans isn't fired is beyond me

But in OT we would have thrown end zone fade passes to 44 with extreme level of difficulty.Absolutely. We could’ve done power rushing from the 25 yard line in overtime and won the game. The game versus Georgia last week was the same thing trying to score at the end of a half. It flipped the game last week and it flipped the game this week.
You are 3 for 11 because you have no wide receivers. Jesus Christ what does it take to just accept it and fix it.PSU: 3 for 11 on 3rd down. ND was 11 for 17. Ballgame in a nutshell.
Hope Drew goes. And Cleveland names Franklin their new head coachThere was a report Cleveland was directly in his ear, trying to convince him to come out in this draft. Good season, boys.
Defense didn't make the stops in did in the first half. It wasn't just Allar. Lots of missed tackles in the 4th Win as a team, lose as a team.Sorry but this one is on Allar - one too many inaccurate passes / bad decisions. That had nothing to do with CJF. Allar did the one thing that a QB absolutely cannot do in that situation - he gift wrapped the game with a horrendous decision (throwing over the middle late) combined with another inaccurate throw (5 yards in front of receiver). Threw a great pass if he was trying to put it the only place the ND Defender could even touch it). Who knows, we might have lost in OT, but that was just brutal by Allar.
Oh yeah, our pass defense managed to make another sub-par passing game look unstoppable including giving up a critical 10 yard game-clinching pass to Greathouse??? On 3rd-&-3 with only 38 seconds left (Jayden Greathouse, whoever that is, caught 7 passes for 105 yards and a 54 yard TD).
Just unf'ing believable. Hate to say it, but Allar cost us all day long - multiple bad overthrows on wide open wheel routes.... just inaccurate all game long with his last brutal throw literally gift-wrapping the game for ND.
