I can’t see Quinerly getting a hardship waiver, so sitting out a year looks like a definite. I would have liked for Pat to get involved, especially after Rasir left. I’m not sure what the connection is between Quinerly and Arkansas, Alabama, or Georgia, but I’m pretty sure Capel recruited Quinerly coming out of high school when he was on the staff at Duke. They’ve got a pretty good freshman point guard, though, and Quinerly seems like the type who wants the ball.Saw that he walked last week...good for him!
Also saw that Quinerly has narrowed his schools down to Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia and...Pitt. Will most likely have to sit out this year.

He wants to play in a system where he can play hero ball as the lead guard? How in the world did Chambers not land him!Yes, Quinerly needs to be on a team where he is the focus. Nova and he were a bad match-fit. He seems better suited for a SEC or BIG 12 team.

Good point.Chambers and Wright are close. There may be some behind the scenes intell that Wright shared with Chambers that caused him to not pursue Quinerly.
Thought I'd put this article here. . .
What drives Kyle Lowry's unexplainable basketball genius?

Question for you and others who follow Villanova closely, how would you compare Brunson to Kyle Lowry? What are the chances that Brunson has an NBA career nearly as productive as that of Lowry? And Jalen Brunson will get his diploma this spring after a season with the Mavs. Good for him.

Hard to say. IIRC, the 1st round interest in Lowry was a bit of a surprise to the staff. I don’t think he started but he had a strong soph season and was expected to return. Lowry was a brute driving to the hoop even then. He had a good jumper but I don’t recall him being much of a 3 pt shooter. He was an excellent defender as well. It’s hard to project Brunson’s future vis a bid Lowry. He was certainly a better college player who could low post any guard who was on him. Very good defender as well. Lowry had a fearless tenacity about him. I will say that the ‘slim to none’ response was bullshit. That poster is comparing Lowry’s pro career to Brunson’s couple of years. But Lowry did have a special toughness that you don’t see in many players let alone Jalen.Question for you and others who follow Villanova closely, how would you compare Brunson to Kyle Lowry?
