Official Graham Spanier trial thread.

Mr Kline bringing HIS pony to the show........ God help us all

This would be the same Kline who ASSURED me back in November 2014 that "Penn State would be seeing their money from Second Mile". Which I knew to be utterly false - because I knew full well Miss "One Tough Cookie" Abraham gift wrapped the place to Arrow Ministries of Texas. He also assured me that Centre County CYS would be answering questions - which was just more smoke.

However, I do have to comment how impressive the Kline & Specter name looks splashed across the handball courts at the DAC. I am thankful that Penn State money made its way to Drexel to improve the national conversation on Pillar of the Community Offenders and child sexual abuse. Fraudney Erickson assured us that Penn State would be that national leader in teaching, research and service and playing handball is exactly the way to kickstart that conversation.

Wenslvr...thoughts on Raykovitz being summoned by Prosecution ? Can this get any crazier...?

For awhile there, I thought maybe the OAG had Tom's board shut down this morning. While I like the Pork Pie, the Kaiser seems to have a dual purpose - w/ the built-in antenna and all...

I believe that jury selection is usually not done in open court to protect the identity of the jurrors. There may be some reporters present. I was selected for the Jane Orie corruption trial a couple of years ago and the questioning of perspective jurrors was done privately with the judge, lawyers, the court recorder, and 1 or 2 members of the media.
That makes sense of course, but I didn't see much reporting about it. I was hoping at least one media person would report with no names/id's but the reasons one side or the other rejected a juror.

Don't know about PA, but in NJ it's done in the open, both for grand and regular juries. Obviously for grand juries, there are no outsiders, reporters included, present.

All Rivals forums were down. Storms?

I wrote about the Sandusky jury selection if you're interested. I sat in judges chambers as a representative of the public for the third phase - where both the prosecution and defense questioned jurors one by one and struck them for cause. I detailed some of the reasons jurors were cut if you're interested.

That's good to know. I will have to find out how and why that occurred. I'll swing by the courthouse later and say hello. Always love to chat with an impartial, rational victim advocate who is both unbiased and honorable. Let me know if you see anyone there who fits that bill.

One quote that seems appropriate to this whole mess:

"You have attributed conditions to villainy that simply result from stupidity."--Robert A. Heinlein, "Logic of Empire"
