People get so hung up on the kid being a walk-on. He is way better than Farmer and Brown, two guys who just are NOT LBs. Their instincts are terrible. Meanwhile Jan is our leading tackler and completely flipped the game with that pick.

That was a great play by Hamler. Notice that he didn't give up the position of the ball too early while it was in the air. That's the key.

I thought the key was the move he made on his break. It was instant separation which the Illini DB never made up.
