Official PSU - Rutgers game thread

Sideline reporter on the radio broadcast asks Franklin as he's going off the field, what does PSU need to do for the second half. Franklin's response: "Well, we need to get back to doing what we are supposed to be doing". This man has a career ahead of him as a slick politician....

Halftime and they are up 7-3 on Rutgers. Team and coaches look totally uninterested.

Rutgers has defeated UMass and Liberty, but this is tied for their second best performance in their losses at the half -- tied at Illinois, down by 4 at home to BC. Pretty lousy company the team is in.

I'm gonna say it was a bad call for Franklin to let all the guys wake up so early to go hunting this morning. They're lacking energy.

According to the FSU fan site Their job is Franklins if he wants it. Apparently they want to announce a hire early next week.

It is not improbable that the team knows something.

Hard to figure. Is it that PSU plays to the level of their opponent? Is it an OSU hangover? Both?

At least we have found out that Levis is not a starting QB. He might make a good FB. Passing ability is almost nil.

New Orleans has a package for their backup QB Hill similar to what we ran last year with Tommy. It is usually successful because they either get the ball to him directly or going forward. Payton is a very good play caller as well...

Franklin looks totally disengaged. I don't believe he's going anywhere. I wonder if he's under the weather. He has that kind of a look. Like he'd rather be anywhere else.
For those worried about Jimmy F going to FSU or SC .... rest at ease.

Journey looked quite emotional. Team looks flat..something smells.

Halftime stats-

Even if so, the lack of energy, enthusiasm, effort on the part of (what seems like) the rest of the team is highly disappointing.
