I checked earlier and Sealey weighed between 157 and 165 at certs. Would have to guess he can go 157 (especially since he hasn't weighed in yet this year AFAIK so he wouldn't have to worry about a descent plan)
They will both be at Lock Haven for the open on Sunday to figure out 157
I get that it’s wrestling and you have to earn your spot on the mat, but Sasso’s circumstances are extenuating enough that he should be the guy no questions asked. Loyal veteran, team leader (blackshirt jokes aside), last season, coming back from life-threatening act of senseless violence. I think Sasso has earned the spot regardless of his results this particular season.
And unlike one of the coaches on staff, his raw hand was not self-dealt. If he’s “wrestling off” at the open, I hope it is at his request that it be this way.
I bet Sasso is the last guy on Earth who thinks he should be given a spot, extenuating or not.
I would tend to agree. I hope we see him on the mat at Nationals.
I can't imagine the crowd noise when he walked out to wrestle in Philly. Lid would be off the place.

Sammy only wants to be the guy if he's the best guy. He doesn't want it handed to him. Cannon was the only guy listed for tonight in the probables and it's the last dual this year

Haven't seen it announced but I heard it from a good source last week. Also heard Pyles say it on FRL. Now them not listing Sammy tonight for the last dual of the year and at home makes me believe maybe he's dinged up and Cannon could get that spot now.

Even if Cannon would likely finish higher at Bigs or NCAAs that Sasso…not like it’s going to make a difference in where Ohio State finishes. They are a fifth place team at best. (Dont see then finishing ahead of Good guys, Okie State, Iowa, or Nebraska). Let the kid wrestle if he is able.
A guy like Sasso has a lot of pride in himself. It's entirely possible (if not likely) that he said that he wouldn't be comfortable taking someone's spot if he's not the best guy in the room for the spot. This is the part of it that we don't know. If he's not up to the level he expects of himself and is struggling and getting beaten in the room, he may want to let the other guy take the spot instead of basically doing a symbolic curtain call.

That sucks for him. He seems like he’s sick more often than most. Would love to see Cole, but this would be Lucas if I were guessing.
Damn. That's potentially 3 starters out and probably an even chance for a loss at 141. I don't think PSU loses this dual even under a worst case scenario, but geez. Is Cole Mirasola healthy and do we see him tonight? I'd actually feel OK about his chances against Feldman.
He was on the plane. I’m just thinking from a preparedness standpoint that Cochran would have been tagged as the backup all season.

If Sealey goes at 157 he's as much of a sure thing as Kasak is from what I've heard.

I really want to see Cole vs Feldman. Also really hoping we get to see Sealey
Brandon Cannon of anOSU is 13-2 on the season. Don't know who he has wrestled, but 13-2 is pretty respectable. And I honestly don't know what to expect out of Sealey.
