Okie St 20 - Minnesota 17

Iowa and OSU are far bigger threats than OkieState in my opinion. Too many holes in OkieState's lineup

I noticed Marsden did not wrestl HWT. His flagrant misconduct against SDSU kept him from wrestling today. I would have liked to see how Kroells would have done against Marsden. That is at least a 6 point swing in Minny's favor, IMO.

125 Eddie Klimara (Oklahoma State) over Skyler Petry (Minnesota) (Dec 8-2)
133 Samuel Brancale (Minnesota) over Gary Wayne Harding (Oklahoma State) (MD 16-2)
141 Dean Heil (Oklahoma State) over Thomas Thorn (Minnesota) (Dec 7-3)
149 Jake Short (Minnesota) over Anthony Collica (Oklahoma State) (Dec 2-1)
157 Brandon Kingsley (Minnesota) over Chandler (Chance) Marstellar (Oklahoma State) (Dec 3-2)
165 Alex Dieringer (Oklahoma State) over Brandon Krone (Minnesota) (TF 18-1 4:13)
174 Kyle Crutchmer (Oklahoma State) over Jordan Rothers (Minnesota) (Fall 2:58)
184 Nolan Boyd (Oklahoma State) over Christopher Pfarr (Minnesota) (Dec 4-1)
197 Brett Pfarr (Minnesota) over Jordan Rogers (Oklahoma State) (MD 16-5)
285 Michael Kroells (Minnesota) over Austin Schafer (Oklahoma State) (Dec 8-3)

Bring on the pussycats.
Looks like the Goofers are ready for Northwestern.

Jake Short - this is what you can expect from your matchup with Zain Retherford:

It's easy to get you kittycats confused.

I watched it on flo. To the flo guys, I thought the audio, commentary, and video was great. Only time I had problems and it was self induced was when I tried to live stream my fantasy football stuff while watching the match. Otherwise it was uninterupted. I would remark that I would put the weight class and team scores in your box score in the corner. I also watched a little of the grapple on my phone when we were out today and the box scores were slow to change which made scattered viewing difficult. this is constructive praise not criticism. the fact I could watch these matches today, when only a few years ago we couldnt is not lost on me. thanks guys.

as for the match...Mr T. you better pull those shirts or this is a lost season for the pokes. 133, 157, 197 and if collica has a lingering ankle injury that could spell trouble. I did think it was cool of Short to not push collica at the end even though he could have and maybe got him to inj default. thought that was classy. chance...ugh that is painful to watch. the wrestling, is one thing but the lost promise of what could be...just painful

In the flo feed it would pan to JRob and he would have his feet up on the stage and just seemed a bit disinterested when they panned to him. He could have been going nuts when they didnt have him shown, but he just looked disinterested when i saw him. Jamz you get that feeling or am I wrong??? Eggz definetly looks to be the guy most active in the match.

As for the goofs, they arent a threatening team, but they wrestled about as good as that lineup would give. a little annoyed that Kroells didnt go harder against a backup 197lber with what could have been a match winning fall at stake.

Iowa and PSU are the two best teams out there. I actually like that they wont see each other until Bigs...builds drama and intranet banter between our fan base.

Ahahahaha, Jake Short back and takes out Collica. That cracks me up to no end. We've known Smith has a schitt schow at 133 (unless he burns an eligibility year for Kaid Brock or Nick Piccinini), 184 & 197, but if Anthony Collica can't be relied upon to best Jake Short... oh. my. I have to agree with Sauertig above: Brutus looks like our biggest threat.

Also some really nice performances by the Gophers there. Skyler Petry holding it to a decision and Brancale nearly missing the Tech Fall and Kingsley with a solid decision over 157's most wild wildcard. And Tommy Thorn did about as well vs Heil as he did vs Kevin Jack (L, 4-10) & Evan Henderson (L, 2-5). It's still really early and if he's keeping the top guys to decisions, I won't be surprised to see him around the podium come March.

Also also, it's pretty funny watching John Smith try to find the right combo between Boyd & Jordan Rogers. Would Rogers have won bigger against Chris Pfarr than Boyd did? Would Boyd have gotten as mauled by Brett Pfarr as Rogers did? I mean, he still has magic he can pull out of his bag at 133 & 157, but despite the bench gluttony at 157, 165 & 174, he's got no such tricks in there for 184 & 197.

[QUOTE="dunkej01, post: 917612, member: 5498" Jamz you get that feeling or am I wrong??? Eggz definetly looks to be the guy most active in the match.[/QUOTE]

Eggum has been coaching the team for several years now.

Even if Kroells had pinned Okie St would still have won on criterion 3-matchpoints scored 47-44.

How the hell could you get us confused Jammer... Unless you have dementia, alzheimers, short and long term memory loss, displacement disorder or just forgetful. We're the team that always beats you at the Big TENS and National Tournament. How could you forget us??? o_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_O

The catfights all run together;

MN vs PSU, 15-6-1, 68%
Mn vs NW, 40-17-1, 69%

Titles in the past five years:

National Titles... Penn State 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 Minnesota 0

Big Ten Titles... Penn State 2011, 2012, 2014, 2014 Minnesota 0

The lack of FIGHT in your Goofs has been running consecutive for a long time. Enjoy the streak... as it continues and Penn State buries the Gophers into a bigger gopher hole than they're already in.

Minny vs. PSU in tournaments the last 5 years. Minny 0-14. No wonder JRob wants to do away with NCAAs as we know them. ROTFLMAO.

It bothers the Goofs enough they changed their Holiday Tournament schedule. Where did they go last year, some high school/NAIA tournament in Hawaii?

I'm curious about how Jammen picks his profile pics. First he was John Holmes, then Dave Wannstedt, now Disco Stu.

"What's new pussycat?"

For a very long time Minnesota has continously put strong, title contending teams on the wrestling mats.
What's new is the overall weakness of this team and even though it is only the first of December, everybody already knows the Goofs aren't going to need any championship t-shirts printed this year. That is new.

Jammies gave his age away previously, but I can't find the post...I think he's a sly ol' dog, getting some of you to over-react the way you do.

Ya'll are talking about the Minnesota that you haven't beaten since 1998....right? If you want to compare, don't limit yourself to the last 5 years.....actually, PSU has finally came out of the hole Minnesota put you in in the first place. I'm just sayin'.

Jammies has a new name -- how adorable!

I can think of a couple of Penn State wins over the Goofs:

2011 NCAA Championships--Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

1. Penn State 107.5
7. Minnesota 61

2012 NCAA Championships--St. Louis, Missouri

1. Penn State 143
2. Minnesota 117.5

2013 NCAA Championships--Des Moines, Iowa

1. Penn State 123.5
3. Minnesota 103

2014 NCAA Championships--Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

1. Penn State 109.5
2. Minnesota 104

2015 NCAA Championships--St. Louis, Missouri

6. Penn State 67.5
8. Minnesota 59.5

I'd be happy to post Southern Scuffle and Big 10 scores too, if you'd like

That's great, but I thought we were talking about head to head, you know since this thread is about the OSU vs MINN dual, not NCAA's and such. But your right, PSU has been good for the last 5 years, but before 2010 when someone said college wrestling....PSU didn't really come to mind as top notch, .
