And that's what will cost them the game. Idiotic playcalling on their final possessions of regulation + overtime. Absolutely brutal.
Holy crap! You've got the Heisman Award winner at the QB position, and you call three straight conservative running plays on your last possession of regulation, then three straight conservative running plays in the first overtime, then a series of safe plays in the 2nd overtime. Either the coach is an idiot or the QB's award is a fraud. Maybe both.
It's a great game though. They should have a bigger gap between the games though--you're right

Rose Bowl last two years had the highest scoring games in its history. Both games were classic. Rare to see that in this age of multiple bowls.

I understand the OU playcalling but I don't like it. Riley's a young coach--he'll learn from it.
Oklahoma's RB was also averaging almost 8 yards per carry...so there was an excuse.
As a supposed PSU fan, I'm not sure why you would want two SEC schools to make the championship....all that will do is solidify the media's love affair with that conference, which would hurt Penn State.
The SEC is always going to get that kind of hype. I like seeing the Big XII and ACC exposed as weaker conferences. The Pac XII as well. The Big Ten should have had two teams last year just like the SEC should have had two teams this year. I'm not going to root against Bama because the media likes them. I want Georgia to win the whole thing. And I'd like to see Smart beat Saban. I'm not a fan of Dabo or Mayfield. I have lots of reasons. You root against the Big Ten. I can root for the SEC.
Also, Bama fans have great respect for our program. I give that respect back

Fans are fans everywhere (although the “Mike Stoops I hope you die” thread is way over the line).
