Olympic Trials Day 2 thread

Really wrestling is a mental sport as much as physical or tech.
Some examples. Dake just has Taylors number and I really believe it is just in Taylors head.
Gillman and Nico Gillman just cannot beat nico . Now Gillman and Nato Gillman is like 5-1 with Nato dam sport is funny at times.

Only first place goes, unless first place gets injured or sickness than I would guess the runnerup.
Get behind Frank to go and make his weight to qualify or he will have to miss Rio. GO FRANK THE TANK MAN.

While true, today, Dake was gifted his win: He did absoulutely nothing, and for reasons known to nobody, Taylor was put on the clock when he initiated most of the action. Then Dake stalled with collar ties for a minute and a half in the third period.

I can't stand Dake, and I don't mind saying so: The guy cries and belly aches during matches to officials, and sells his own merchandise during national championships with title matches going on in the background. I hope Cox beats him and if Cox doesn't, I hope the Russians, Iranians, or ANYONE else beats him.

from what I've gathered, the top three make the national team, but I think it may just be 1st and an alternate going to the olympics. This may be wrong, or an incomplete understanding
 
stream mat 2 for the finals. 2 MFS then womens then other 2 MFS

Dake v Cox
Rams v Dennis
Gray v Francis
Snyder v Varner
Burrows v Howe

Then repeat as needed

I'm going Dake in 3, Rams in 2, Snyder in 3, Burrows in 2

Certain match ups can be interesting as you have pointed out! And Nico did not beat Nato.
 
Cox feels out 1st pd then opens up in second. 8 unanswered and wins 1st match 8-1.

Dake had no answers for his strength and quicks.
 
Man that Dennis vs Ramos match was boring as can be. For all the crap Frank took yesterday from the Hawkeye fans I don't see either one of these guys doing much at the Olympics.

Dennis gets round 1 ...2-1. All 3 points were shot clock points. If they gave points for leg slaps and head fakes score would be out of site. They don't so it was what it was.

I still don't know how he made weight. Is one of his limbs prosthetic?

Exactly I had more action going to the frig for a refill.

Tanks hair moved more than Ramos just did.

It was like watching old people...... well you get the point.

Tell you what was fun to watch. Varner was tactical after the 4pt move....but that def was awesome in 2ND pd.

Nice words from smith about Cael coaching Varner up......that might be the biggest news to come out of this weekend.

You are implying that Cox hammered Dake because of weight difference, which is not true. Cox made the weight, and that is as fair as it can possibly be. If Dake didn't want to be horsed, then he shouldn't have ran from Burroughs.

he weighed in the same as dake. dake said in an interview after DT he max weighs 185, I'm betting cox is 200lbs right now.

Tell me where I said anything about him beating Dave. I can't stand Dake. I was making a joke about Cox getting to weight. Stay off the keyboard steroids.
