On Wisconsin, On Wisconsin (Wisconsin - Michigan game thread)

Moorhead spent a few years working on this offense at the FCS level. His success at a mid level SEC school is irrelevant to this conversation.

Rahne and Gattis are position coaches who have been given the reins with zero experience. Zero history to determine whether it's a good idea or not. Neither guy went somewhere and cultivated a top 10 offense. It's a big question to me why either were put in such positions so quick.

Their OL is horrible today. Certainly, Wisconsin is a stiff test, but this unit is upper classmen and one sophomore. I hope they play like this against us.

Shouldn’t the Wisconsin performance show that the OC is not the be all and end all...it’s still about blocking and execution. Wisconsin isn’t exactly dialing up a lot of creative plays...just running it down their throats.

If PSU cant make make it to play off It would be interesting seeing Wisky and the way they are playing right now? CFP needs some new blood

Maybe he should, but who on this board even knew of Brady before LSU hired him?

He was on our staff so I would think a decent number of people but, even if almost no one here did, the argument will be that Franklin should have realized. Not saying that's fair but prepare for that.

How does one find an offensive line like that?
Book a flight to Madison, work your way out in every direction.

Well, if they get smoked like they are now, it deflates the Penn State game on October 19, so let's hope they make it respectable before it's all over....

Doesn’t deflate it for me at all. I don’t particularly care what the masses think of it either. Hopefully Wisconsin lays another 28 point on them and keeps Michigan off the scoreboard.

If we could understand dumbmond on espn, I’d love to hear him talk about this game. Of course, he’ll pick um over us.

Yeah, we pay attention to GAs. Imagine letting him be OC without even having been a position coach.

Don't think Steve Ensminger has anything to do with the success? It's the WR coach / PGC?

If that was reofficiated without a flag in the field, why wasn’t the helmet to helmet oob hit on Clifford looked at last week

Bad enough call a penalty but he sure doesnt deserve to get run and miss a half that guy wasnt trying to do anything on purpose

Wisconsin is making the case for possession denial. It’s great when you can run the ball almost at will and have a complimentary passing game. Wisconsin does not appear to have much of a big play offense other than Taylor ripping off huge runs.
This certainly works in the Big Ten, but maybe not so much in the playoffs.

Again, it's not my argument. You will hear it from people sooner than later. And, yes, I would think most people that care enough to post here would know who the GAs are.

Brady seems to be getting the majority of the credit because Ensminger's offense wasn't exactly prolific last year, right? He's also been at LSU for, what, a decade? Brady's going to be the next "big name" given his age and Burrow's success.
