Was at Kualoa ranch in Oahu, where scenes from several Jurassic Park movies were filmed (You Me and Dupree, Godzilla, Mighty Joe Young, LOST, and others too)

Or have anywhere they would like to see that’s been featured in a movie, like the house from Home Alone or The Christmas Story etc?
The school house and restaurant from the Birds, had a drink at the bar, Tallulah Gorge where they filmed Deliverance, we used to go there all the time, a bunch of the hills in the Dirty Harry movies, cabbies in SF had a route and late at night would zoom over the hill tops and get airborne, steam tunnels at Carnegie Mellon where Creep Show was shot, bunch of places where Flashdance was shot, got kicked off the set at one point while they were filming

Is it just some random field that’s difficult to find or is it a big tourist attraction?

It’s a big tourist attraction. There were actually two fields built for the filming. One of the farmers just returned his to as it was before. The other kept it and turned it into a tourist attraction (visitors by 65,000 annually I believe I’ve heard). Smart move by that guy.

The ‘Being There’ house on M street. Almost unrecognizable after four decades.

(I think the parking lot is the site of the new convention center at the end of the block)

I used to visit a company in NJ that was close to the bowling alley (stuckeybowl) used for the TV show called Ed.
I was also traveling in southern CA with a SciFi nerd engineer who guided us to a place where Star Trek scenes were filmed. I think it was the one where Kirk made homemade gunpowder.

my wife grew up in West Chester PA area, and there are multiple M Knight Shamalon locations nearby.

Fort Knox where Stripes was filmed. Did that obstacle course. Reception was in those barracks. The buildings are gone now.

Venice High — Greece and American History X (probably lots of others).

Santa Monica Mall — Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

Santa Monica Pier and PCH — tons of movies.

Cliff Island, Maine. Site of The Whales of August. Bette Davis, Lillian Gish, Vincent Price. May not be a famous movie.......

Did you get some magic dust? Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Sanford Pinot Noir is one of my favorites.
Bodega Bay - The Birds Walked up to the house - big sign no tresspassing
Puerta Vallera - Night of the Iguana
Lone Ranger - the original TV show from way back, client was driving me from Tucson to Arizona, asked if I wanted to stop by the Lone Ranger set

I have been to the Eckley miners village they built for the movie. I grew up in North End of Wilkes-Barre and I remember when they were filming the movie, there was a helicopter that I saw daily that I was told ferried the cast and crew to and from their hotel to Hazleton. I was a big Sean Connery fan growing up and I have to content myself that flying in a helicopter at about 1000 ft over my house is the closest I will ever come to James Bond.
The hotel was located along Kidder Street where the Marriott is currently located. I believe it was the Holiday Inn at the time you are refering.
Cool, Harbest, that you are from tne North End. Coughlin grad?

I went to Paramount Ranch, before it burned down. I played in the park in Rocky in Kensington as a kid. One of my recent favorites happened in NCIS New Orleans, where they were working a crime scene in a rail yard--near Peters and Spain in the Marigny--as you can see the house we rented just over the wall. I recall going to the church in Flashdance before a PSU-Pitt game. Others have noted the Witness sites. In fact just before that movie came out, my brother and I, not knowing, had a hotdog in the restaurant where Harrison Ford and the kid eat near the beginning of the movie. Bob's Diner in Manayunk was in Stealing Home. You can see the location of my parents grave in Manchester by the Sea. It's about 50 ft from where the guy and his nephew are walking by the cemetery (Beverly Central), though their marker faces away from the street. And, if you were able to make a 180 turn from the steps of the funeral home in that movie, you would see my grandparents house in Beverly (though I do no remember it). My home town of Warminster, specifically the Johnsville section, has a cameo in both The Right Stuff and Hidden Figures, as the Navy centrifuge that trained the astronauts was there.

I still want to go up to Mansfield, Ohio, to see some of the Shawshank sites.

And I'll note that the movie Unstoppable about the runaway train was partly filmed in Port Matilda.

Oh, almost forgot Teachers, which was filmed at Central High in Columbus. My SIL was in it as an extra, though I'm not exactly sure where.

Visited Christmas Story house in Cleveland. Definately worth it if you're a fan of the movie. The guy who played the delivery man works there. Or at least he did when we visited a few years ago.
Also visited Boone Hall plantation, used in the north and south mini series with Patrick swayze.

I’m sure I’ll think of more later. Oak Alley Plantation (Interview with a Vampire, Primary Colors, others), Bourbon Street/French Quarter/Garden District (numerous movies), Ocean Drive/South Beach (numerous movies), Public Square/Higbees — Cleveland (A Christmas Story), steps next to the Car Barn (The Exorcist), Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool (Forest Gump), Old Post Office Pavilion, Union Station, Willard InterContinental Hotel and other DC locations, Niagara Falls (Niagara), Massachusetts State House (The Departed), Boston Public Garden (Good Will Hunting, numerous movies), Harvard Square (Good Will Hunting), Harvard Yard (Love Story), Notre Dame Stadium and campus locations (Rudy, Knute Rockne All-American), Philadelphia Museum of Art steps (Rocky), Rittenhouse Square (Trading Places), Eastern State Penitentiary (Twelve Monkeys, numerous movies), 30th Street Station (Witness, Trading Places, other movies), Wanamaker’s (Mannequin), locations at Princeton University (A Beautiful Mind, numerous movies), Kennywood (Adventureland), Carnegie Museum of Art (Flashdance, other movies), Wrigley Field (Ferris Bueller, A League of Their Own, other movies), Art Institute of Chicago (Ferris Bueller), High Museum of Art—Atlanta (Black Panther), The Chapel—Duke University (The Handmaids Tale), Pike Place Market (Sleepless in Seattle, numerous movies), Monorail/Space Needle (It Happened at the World’s Fair, other movies), Balboa Park (Citizen Kane), Union Station—Los Angeles (Dark Knight Rises, Catch Me if You Can, other movies), Santa Monica Pier (Forrest Gump, other movies), Halona Cove (beach scheme in From Here to Eternity), Royal Hawaiian Hotel (From Here to Eternity), Notre Dame Cathedral and Eiffel Tower (numerous films), Hampton Court Palace (numerous movies), Princes Street in Edinburgh (Trainspotting, other films), Calton Hill and Arthur’s Seat—both Edinburgh (One Day), various locations in Sydney (Mission Impossible), Alcatraz (The Rock, Escape from Alcatraz, etc.), Lombard Street (The Love Bug, What’s Up Doc)Church Square Park and Stevens Park—both in Hoboken (On the Waterfront), Hoboken Terminal (Julie and Julia, Stardust Memories, other movies), several Central Park locations (numerous movies), Grand Central Station (numerous movies), the Plaza Hotel (North by Northwest, numerous movies), Macy’s Herald Square (Miracle on 34th Street), Coney Island Cyclone (The Wiz), Coney Island Boardwalk (Beaches, Brighton Beach Memoirs, others), Unisphere (Men in Black, others), Battery Park (Prince of Tides, Men in Black, others), Brooklyn Bridge walkway (Annie Hall, others), Katz’s Delicatessen (When Harry Met Sally), Tiffany’s (Breakfast at Tiffany’s), numerous other NYC locations...

I’m pretty sure you win.

Bunch of movies since I’ve lived in a few places where a lot of movies are filmed (DC, Philly), but I’ve been to a lot of locations where they filmed scenes from one of my favorite movies - Dazed and Confused. Top Notch Hamburgers, the Burger Center where they shot the scenes on the football field and the next morning in the parking lot, their high school which I think is either a middle or elementary school on 1st and William Cannon, etc.

Been to a few locations seen in the movie "Paterno".

Sorry, couldn't resist. Also stayed in the hotel used for its exterior in The Shining.

Going to Universal Studios in LA was cool. Did the VIP tour. Because my son and I are fans of "The Good Place", the Universal Studios tour guide took just us to Michael/Ted Danson's office and Eleanor/Kristen Bell's clown house interior in the first season.
