No doubt this guy is good to very good. But, why isn't he developing into the elite pitcher everyone expected? With that being said, I'm sure he'll no hit my Phils five times over this season and next.
242 strikeouts to 43 walks last year in 215 innings. That the poor control you're talking about?
He's no Matt Harvey. No doubt this guy is good to very good. But, why isn't he developing into the elite pitcher everyone expected? With that being said, I'm sure he'll no hit my Phils five times over this season and next.
He's on pace for about 55 this year. But, hey, #NATITUDE, right?
55!?!?! Oh the humanity! WHAT A BUST!
Last night, Curt Schilling was explaining the difference between control and command. He said control means you can throw strikes and not walk a ton of hitters. But command is being able to put the pitch where you want it in the strike zone (or outside the strike zone for that matter). There is such a thing as being wild in the strike zone. Pitchers that are wild in the strike zone usually get lit up at some point.
You said he had bad control. So now we're changing it to bad command? How does he have a career 3.09 ERA and 2.84 FIP then?
