Outside The Lines: "Could Michigan State have stopped Larry Nassar?" [JEMELE UPDATE]

“I have been told it is virtually impossible to stop a determined sexual predator and pedophile, that they will go to incomprehensible lengths to keep what they do in the shadows.”

Consider this, Lou Anna and Jason Cody. Penn State officials received two reports about Sandusky, one from a law enforcement investigation that resulted in no charges against JS in 1999 and the infamous "slapping sounds" witness. MSU had multiple victims report Nassar to multiple officials at MSU. It seems we can safely conclude that Sandusky was much more adept at staying "in the shadows" than Nassar. Care to try another feeble excuse?

Exactly. And the MSU victims told MSU employees right after they were abused. At PSU, at least two of the accusers who claimed they told Paterno that they were abused told no one about it for 40 years, 4 years after Paterno died, and 3 years after it was announced Penn State was giving away money to anyone who came forward with a claim Sandusky abused them.

They knew. They all knew. So did Narduzzi. Shut both MSU and sPitt down. Shut it all down.

Culture, culture, culture!!!!!!

Legitimate question(s) - had a certain MSU administrator not been so outwardly critical of Penn State in the wake of the Sandusky scandal (especially considering her position as Executive Committee Chair with the NCAA at the time), would we be more sympathetic to her current plight, knowing full well how skilled many of these predators are at grooming their communities? Would we be more open to cries for due process to be carried out?

You're probably right. However, she wasn't sympathetic at all to the PSU officials, was she?

It's hard to tell from here what was worse -- her inaction when she truly should have known, or her hypocrisy with regards to her sanctimonious condemnation of PSU.

Yeah, probably she would get somewhat easier treatment were it not for the hypocrisy.

Yeah, it's hard to play that sympathy card when she was up on that pulpit wagging her finger back and fourth about PSU. That glass house shatters pretty quickly as she has found out. Just think if some people would have actually taken and used the Clemente report for what is intended...a learning tool about nice guy predators. Another thing the Paterno's gave to the people only for it to call on deaf ears.

Someone should ask her if she read the Clemente report or other parts of Dick Thornburgh's review of the Freeh Report/PSU case?

I am missing the regular BWI House Guests & Trolls as well.

I wonder why they show no interest here. <heavy sarcasm font>

I'm also missing a certain bro-in-law telling everyone how it was a massive cover up by 2 university admins that promised to investigate.
Towny's out helping Mike improve his golf handicap and also helping him lay out more deer bait. Possibly even helping Mike take more selfies for distribution.

Yes.

But that “pretty pervasive” bullshit comment really pissed me off.

Of course I fired off an email with the deets on what went down here in PA to the Office Of The President at MSU - also asking for Simon to pick up that phone and place a personal call to a certain peer.

I was told my email was passed on to her.

We shall see what happens.

This is the absolute all time best....

Larry Nassar complains it’s too hard to listen to victim stories

In a six-page single-spaced letter, Nassar complained it was too hard for him to listen to dozens of accusers describe how he abused them under the guise of medical treatments and how it wrecked their lives. He said the judge had turned the proceeding into a "media circus" and put herself in the spotlight.

Looks like Larry the Lizard pissed off the judge with his letter. (It's from ESPN if anyone cares to give them the clicks.)

"I have to say, this isn't worth the paper it's written on," Aquilina said about Nassar's letter. "There's no truth in here. It's delusional."

Aquilina told him that mental health officials and emergency medical technicians are on alert, should he need them. She did not take pity on what he said was a call for help in the form of his letter.

"You may find it harsh that you are here listening," she said. "But nothing is as harsh as what your victims endured for thousands of hours at your hands."

Aquilina said she will address more of the lengthy letter at the conclusion of the sentencing hearing, which is scheduled to end Friday. She is not sure yet if she will release it in full to the public.

I would cut her some slack if/when she says” with the benefit of hindsight I didn’t realize what I was dealing with and am now convinced that JVP did not suspect it either. I apologize to the family of JVP.” Oh yeah, I missed an opportunity to educate the nation on nice guy predators.

That has no chance of happening. If by some miracle it did, I still wouldn't cut her any slack. The damage she so enthusiastically had a hand in inflicting is irreparable and because of that, I wish her only the worst. Same goes for that idiot, Ray.

Simon is lowest form of ‘leader’.
Somehow folks like her bullshit their way to the top.
Most times they get a golden chute when they fail, but I hope they take every and anything she possesses and she dies dirty and alone in a gutter downstream from the sewage dump. Miserable bitc*.

Excuse my anger but I know five of the accusers.

It is clear that those in the crosshairs at michigan state are going to dig in their heels. They will try to convince everyone they did nothing wrong and that their situation is very different than Penn State. They don't want to be associated with the sandusky false narrative that their own president helped fuel.

With every hurt woman that speaks out in michigan this week, I hope people are able to see through the lies of michigan state administrators who knew, including lou anna simon.

They have to make some challenge I would think to hopefully see what sticks and lesson any $$$ damage.

We just said.., Who wants money ?

Which of course why our Insurer ultimately said “ WTF.... we are not paying”...

Now you know the reason she was so vocal. She wanted the attention pointed at the fake scandal at PSU to draw attention from the real scandal at MSU. Just like how our resident trolls point the blame at JVP, to hide their own sins.

Your anger would have been justified even if you hadn't known any of them.

I’m confused.

All I hear from everyone is that JUST ONE PHONE CALL to Child Protective Services would have STOPPED Sandusky.

Just one call! It’s that easy. Tim and Gary failed.

All they had to do was pick up the phone.

But Kyle reported her own abuse by Nassar to Child Protective Services - TWICE

Who did .....

Wait for it .........

Nothing

FYSA, if you choose to watch the video that Wendy posted (Kyle Stephens), do so at your own risk. Understand that the images she will put into your head with her testimony will straight up haunt you. and I can promise you that what she says will fill you with SO MUCH RAGE that you had better have a healthy outlet to get rid of that rage.

I assume MSU football will wear ribbons on their unis for the 2018 season, right?

Please excuse my language...but M'Fer Emmert gives a bad name to all c*******ers.

It's a joke. Penn State was, and is the walking incarnation of Satan. Any fan or alum is just as culpable; shut the place down, demolish any student's chances of getting a job...

Here we are. Here WE ARE. Go pay your money to sit in the stands and yell that. We had trustees telling the world we were to blame.

Can anyone forward that to Bocci baller?

Wasn't there another girl who went in person to a local police department but was basically turned away? I guess she talked to their version of Gary Schultz. You know, the head of police who us unable to do any actual police type work.

They forget to mention that Child Protective Services gave Sandusky’s shower habits the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval in 1998. The cynic in me says that any investigation in Centre County would have turned up nothing because of TSM’s VERY cozy relationship with Centre County CYS.
