Penn State NIL news

What Town in SW MT? I fish the Madison a lot manty times a year south of Ennis
Love floating from Lyons Bridge to Story Ditch.
All that great wade water around $3 Bridge & Pine Butte.
The side channels around Varney Bridge / Eight Mile.
I just fished from Valley Garden to the lake last Wednesday.

LOVE the Madison - that river made me fall in love w/ Montana.
Just a shame it's getting this additional pressure since COVID.
F'ing tourists need to go back where they came from. LOL.

From baggage claim - Straight to the poker room, sportsbook & poolside.

Used to love fly fishing, tying my own flies. But the best day out fishing is when ur on the other side of pine creek across from the water beaters catching one after another on half a night crawler watching them get pissed of and for some dumb reason trying to cast closer to you, when your catching the fish right in front of them.

Lyons to story is a great was Float Just did Lyons to palisades a week ago when I was out with a few buddies to open my cabin (By 3 dollar bridge) for the summer. The pressure on the river is getting crazy

I hear ya.
Montana has been getting pounded since COVID, and as you’ve seen, low water everywhere.

Gonna be a tough year for the famous rivers. Gonna be a good year to poke around off the grid.

Is it of 2 mahi?

Love those fish. Caught some last year during the white marlin. Best fish tacos ever.

I'll be on pine creek this weekend for trout.
Yeah, caught 11 and a good Barracuda as well. Was just kidding when I said trout and a Northern.

maybe the best sport fishing day I’ve ever had individually on the salt. I was alone, so was pretty busy!

Did have a shared trip once where 5 of the 6 of us caught sails. And another shared trip where 6 of us caught 42 Caravelle Jacks….that was amazing!

I'll be on the First Fork this weekend. Camp building amd fishing. BTW, for you fly fisherman, March Browns are out in full force this weekend on the FF. I would imagine they would be on Pine as well.

Heading to the St. Lawrence tomorrow in the Thousand Island area. Smallmouth and Pike are the main targets. May try the main river one day to target big musky, weather depending.

Green Drake on
What river are you fishing? We're building a new camp in Potter, so it's been the First Fork of the Sinnemahoning for me.

It's been a bit of a tough year so far for me on dries. Just can't seem to time a good hatch with rising trout. I live for it once they start. Im psychotically relentless on rising trout. Everything else is just passing time. It's Christmas time for me in May and June. March browns and Sulphurs are coming, followed by the drakes. Add in the yellow and green sallies as a bonus.

I did ok this past weekend on a tan caddis crippled emerger followed by a wet caddis. I was unofficially guiding for some friends so I could have done better. But they were my sort of guests and I tried to put them on fish. I showed them trout and they showed me my next beer. Good times with good friends. I'll pass on a few fish for getting them fish any day. Tight lines.
The Green Drake on Penns Creek is hard to beat. Where I grew up in Coudy there is a little creek called Mill Creek. It was loaded with natives. Also enjoyed fishing the upper Allegheny around the Rigas's property.

Below article is what's wrong with NIL. It is going to help the athlete but ruin the fair aspect of college sports. I'm not nieve and do realize that backsided perks and money has been part of recruitment for years. The addition of NILs allows the situation to manifest. The tiger is out of the cage.

Definitely a problem. But wouldn't mind seeing them kick the shit out of Saban a few years before it's fixed. He wasn't whining last year when strategically dropping the fact that his freshman QB was already a millionaire.
