Since the hell when has that been a board MO?Actually most of us disliked the hire. A one page thread for a key hire shows a whole lot of "nothing nice to say do don't say anything".

I think you have this board confused with the Test Board.......Actually most of us disliked the hire. A one page thread for a key hire shows a whole lot of "nothing nice to say do don't say anything".
Yeah, everyone here is always so reserved about expressing their opinions.😹Since the hell when has that been a board MO?
Agree. If the youngins pan out next season he sticks around. And some board members have said Gonzalez and Denmark look promising 🤷🏻♀️I have mixed thoughts with Hagans. IIRC he was hired after a recruiting class was finalized so he's really only had one class of his own, and those guys are too young and inexperienced to have received any significant playing time. So a pass for Hagans there. On the flipside, the guys he inherited are have shown an inability to make contested catches, run effective routes and get separation even after 2 years of coaching from Hagans. These are things that should show at least some improvement with good coaching, and we haven't seen much. So criticism for Hagans there. I wouldn't be surprised to see CJF give him one more season with fresh players, especially if CJF if happy with Hagans' recruiting efforts and results. But I'd think he's on a very short leash at this point.
If you’re not getting better you’re getting worse. It may be incrementally but Coach Franklin keeps getting better.IIRC…..wasn’t everyone calling for Trautwein to be fired just two years ago? Said he had enough time here and didn’t get results. Time to move on.
Good thing Terrible Big Game James didn’t follow the sage advice of the AKB.
I think that is a good assessment. The lack of development is a red flag. I have said this in other posts, I think the fact that Warren was so dominant and the clear focal point of the passing game probably inhibited the development of the WRs. That is not a great excuse but most likely there is something to it. Nevertheless, the scheme will need to change to feature the WRs more. Drew needs to get more comfortable and confident with them as well. You would have thought he already would be for this past season but it became the Tyler Warren show and that was about it.I have mixed thoughts with Hagans. Yep, agree that the coaches may have given up on WR development during games and just schemed everything around Warren and the RBs. I don't blame them for that approach as the guys in those two rooms are absolute studs, and you should scheme around your best players.I think that is a good assessment. Fair points. I'd only add that Allar likely lost confidence in the WRs because there were times when he gave them opportunities to make plays and they didn't. The biggest of which was an Allar dime to Wallace against OSU where a competent WR gets a TD and somehow Wallace allowed it to turn into a massive game-changing interception.I don't think you can directly blame any one person or group for the entirety of our WR problems. It's a lot to share:
1. The WRs. They don't create separation. They don't fight for balls. They don't run crisp routes. B+ corners limited them all season. However...
2. AK didn't do a whole lot after the OSU game to get the WRs involved. The offense ran through Warren and the RBs. It was very successful.
3. Hagans. Was he hamstrung on who to play (Fleming, Clifford for their blocking instead of trying out Denmark)? Did he get the most out of these guys? Perhaps the ceiling was met. If the guys in '25 stink, he's going to be the fall guy for it.
4. Allar. Sometimes you have to make a few more plays. He's gotta learn to elevate his guys if he wants to take the next step. His rapport with Warren was immaculate...which seques to...
5. Warren. He was our WR1. Our Travis Kelce. We needed a handful of plays from a WR, but our TE was the focal point of the offense. Had we won out, this conversation would not be the same.
