Football Penn State star DE Dani Dennis-Sutton to return in 2025

It looks like the players have made a decision to go after a championship, and perhaps behind the scenes the NIL collective has raised enough money to keep the core together to make it happen.

The transfer portal is a fantastic tool for programs but at the end of the day being able to retain your star players and keep them from the portal + NFL Draft is what is ultimately going to decide who wins national championships going forward.

Michigan ran it back for the most part in 2023, it resulted in a national championship.

Ohio State ran it back for in 2024 + added via the portal, they're a win away from a national championship.

Penn State is running it back in 2025... we'll see if they have similar results.

We still have some holes that need to plugged via the portal.

Safety to replace Reed
CB to replace Kimber (& Miller)
WR

Do you think we can win it all without an elite WR? It seems like the elite wr ship has sailed, and trying to incorporate a new WR from the spring portal seems unlikely to happen or succeed, particularly in AK’s offense.

Without elite WR? Absolutely.

Michigan didn't have an elite WR two years ago. I think you can argue you give Drew, Penn State's 2022 wide receiver room and they win it all this year. I liked Parker Washington and Mitchell Tinsley but neither were elite. Though the trio of Washington, Tinsley, KLS seems light years ahead of the WR rotation has been the last two years.

Thank you for the quick reply. And I agree as well, particularly Parker Washington, who was slightly under-appreciated here. He could make the tough catches and had enough speed to get open.

If we can get a WR comparable to them getting Downs I'll like our chances

The question is...can we win with the WRs we currently have?
I don't think anyone can honestly say yes to that
