Pitt fans say the darndest things

Don’t care for Conner myself. Go to Lair and search for “James Conner just posted an interesting tweet” dated Jan. 2, 2017.

I understand you may not like the college of his choice, but the guy has been through more adversity than most people and deserves some respect.
Penn State fans have been incredibly more respectful and thoughtful of James Conner than sPitt fans have been of Saquon Barkley. Both are total class acts. The above post is the first harsh comment I have ever seen on this board regarding Conner. How shameful of the sPitters a year or so again of their false allegations that Barkley was inebriated after Thon. For me, this defines the chasm of difference between the two fan bases: SUCCESS WITH HONOR vs Envy and Jealousy

Remember all the posts from Buffett Parrothead saying that he and his wife saw Barkley play in high school? Saying that he hated contact and predicting that he would be a bust in the NFL?

Has Buffett Parrothead ever admitted how wrong he was? Have any NFL teams hired he and his wife as scouts? No? Didnt think so.

Buffett Parrotthead thought he was going to get ESPN using an antenna.
I tried that with a $ 50 HD antenna from Best Buy.
I got maybe 60 channels but none of the major channels, espn, or others so I returned the antenna.

Barkley always plays better than he really is.

I don't know if he lives where he claims he does, but I guarantee you he did not get 60 channels of any kind with an antenna in the middle of the Lehigh Valley.

If Heinz does not renew its sponsorship agreement with the Steelers...wonder what a good name might be for the stadium when Pitt plays there?

I check this thread from time to time to see what my western PA fellow alums are saying about that irrelevant team they live close to. What's up with all the pictures of players who suffered from non-stop low achieving teams there?

It’s a guy who keeps posting picture after picture and nothing is done about it. I think the mods warned him but there hasn’t been any consequences for the constant spamming.

With all the yellow seats, I would think Plochman's Mustard might be fitting...
Fun fact - I went to High School with Paul Plochman in the "burbs outside Chicago, he was the Son of the Founder - of course he lived over on the rich side of town.

What should we call the stadium Pitt plays in?

  1. Heinz isn't renewing its naming rights of "Heniz Field". I'm sure we'll all miss the giant ketchup (or is it catsup) bottles.

Just for fun, what corporate sponsor would be emblematic of Pitt or Steeler football?

Soooooooooo, What should we call the stadium Pitt plays in?

How about "Nearly Empty"
