I am going with my pitt frat brothers. We are unsure yet if we will be doing any trolling before the game but you better believe after upsetting the nitters we will be doing our fair share of celebrating. Cant wait.

They'll need this:

It will be a fun drive home to the south hills of Pittsburgh the evening of 9/14 after a blowout win over Duzzy's MAC team, passing all the pitter cars and slowing down in front of them so that they can get a good look at my PSU car stickers....

I still have a "Pitt fan in trunk" sign! LOL!!!

"So many things to do in Pittsburgh that don't revolve around Pitt...." I guess you find things to do when your football team struggles to reach .500 for decades.

That’s one of my favorites. They think everyone comes to games from Centre County, not realizing they actually come from Philly, New York, DC and (gasp) Pittsburgh.

No, according to pitt athletic supporters, Penn Staters all live in Centre County. We wear overalls and straw hats to the games with no shoes. We get to the games by horse and buggy, in the back of a friend’s vintage pick-up truck (complete with wood fencing along the sides of the flatbed), or on our farm tractors. We drink moonshine at the tailgates.

Just so I understand this, you will only be passing two cars on your way home.

Just made that trip this past weekend and I was passing about 2 cars a minute on average while driving my son's WRX STI, but driving my own car I may be lucky to get past just a couple..... ;)

But your point is well taken!

Are you telling me we don't? Golly gee dad.

Pitt's defense was going to be barely average with him. What will they be without him?

That will give Pitt fans their excuse for why their defense stinks. In reality, it wasn’t going to be good with him. They struggled vs any qb with a pulse and lost every LB but somehow thought they would improve with their backups. Pitt logic

They are a 4-8 team this season

Well said.
I don’t like seeing most players sustain an injury like this. Good luck to him for a full recovery.

Weaver against a rookie LT was one of the few things that concerned me about that game. The other thing is Ffrench returning kicks. Jordan Stout should help with that.

I think you're underestimating Ohio. There's a very good chance their first win of the season could be Delaware.

The losses per season have been trending up for Pat, if that trend continues, he will have a losing record by the end of this season. Narduzzi is just above 0.500 (28-24) as a head coach, thanks to a couple of extremely lucky upsets (Clemson and PSU) in 2016. Had those games not been completely handed to Pitt, he would be sitting at 26-26.

Football is a great sport, but this is an unfortunate part of it. Played a few and coached a few years and the pregame prayer was for an injury free game. This is devastating for a promising young player who perhaps has a family waiting for him to finally earn a nice payday. I hope he recovers and reaches all his goals.

Yeah, I’m wasn’t seeing why Pitt fans were so high on their defense this year. Yeah, there defense probably would have been significantly better than that god-awful D they had a few years ago but that is like saying a 200LB girl looks “hot” compared to the 300LB girl. Even is Weaver turned out to be the best DE that ever played the game, I doubt it would have made much difference to Pitt’s final record. They went 7-6 during Aaron Donald’s senior year and I doubt Weaver would have had anywhere near as dominant year as Donald had in 2013.
