Pitt wants to sign Narduzzi to extension and raise

The ACME YELLOW STADIUM SEAT Co. is kicking in for half the contract. Whenever Narduzzi coaches in Pittsburgh, thousands upon thousands of yellow bleacher seats are totally visible at Heinz Field.

Seven more years of Temple being the second best CFB program in Pennsylvania. By the end of the decade Villanova will probably be number 3.

In related news, The University of Pittsburgh Sleep and Chronobiology Center just got a big grant.

Actual good move by Pitt. The Dooz is probably best they can do and adds stability.

Though I expect 6-6 or worse type seasons rest of his career at PItt.

Wow, seven years is a lot, especially, considering his tenure 21-17, poor recruiting (even locally), and the attendance decline, I get their need for stability but a 7 year extension seems like way too much based on his results and even their trajectory seems to be mediocre.

Their trajectory is down, but it's stable.

This is the truth. Pitt football provides so much entertainment. The threads that will occur next year because of this extension will be EPIC all season long. There are a few with common sense on that board but the majority have two personalities they are called

Offseason - Happy, 10 wins, Nard dog, this is the year, PSU, PSU, PSU

During season - kill me now, PSU, PSU, next year, kill me now, PSU
Just like rutgers

I'm not sure but think his record is 1-1 vs PSU. If this isn't a rival why all the interest on this board. You have your coach who is doing great. Why take time out of your day to comment on a team you say has no meaning to you. Hopefully Pitt keeps getting better and we have 2 great teams in our state

If by getting better means losing 3 more games than the year before, then Pat should have received a 10 year extension. Keep up the improvements Pat

You just don't get it. We do this because it's fun. You should try having fun sometime as opposed to that angry faux mob on the liar.

The only time Pitt has been great, since before World War II, was a brief period of time when the Golden Panthers ran amok with financial incentives. Otherwise, they have been mediocre at best. I don't see that changing under the current leadership, although you could certainly argue that it's at least as difficult a task as splitting the atom.

I really don't understand the Narduzzi hatred from this board. If he's a horrible coach like many suggest we should be glad he's getting an extension. I think he's a good fit for Pitt and will be relatively successful there until he bolts of MSU or another Big Ten/Big XII school

Including trying to throw money at Bradley and yes Sandusky too. they knew, they all knew....

I realize you are limited by a Pitt education, but don't mistake interest for comic relief.

I'm not angry at all. Actually just amused at reading this. So keep on having fun.

Did you not read the comments - We Are glad he got the extension. It will pretty much guarantee 2 more wins for us against Akron, I mean Pitt.

Because we like to laugh, and nothing is easier and more fun to laugh at than Pitt.

Yes, PSU did hand Pitt the game in 2016, but that didn't really have anything to do with Narduzzi now did it? It was the wide open PSU WR that dropped the game winning TD. Later it was another WR that ran the wrong route that led to the game ending INT when PSU was in chipshot FG range with all the momentum.

Reading comprehension is not his strong point, I've pointed that out in other threads.

My Pitt education? I didn't know if you received your B.S. and Masters from Penn St you called it a Pitt education. That doesn't make sense to me

I guess that's a sentence in some language, but it doesn't make it in translation.

I'm curious to know when Pitt is going to start getting better.....they're getting worse.

You believe you pointed that out but you failed miserably. Per usual.

How ironic, your reading comprehension is so poor, you couldn't comprehend that I was criticizing your reading comprehension skills. So sad.

Anyway, since making a fool out of you is so fun and so easy (it's like you're the human embodiment of Pitt), here are the links from a recent thread where I called you out for poor reading comprehension:

Which would be funny if they didn't beat us in 2016.

Hey, they beat us in 2000 and in 1987 and 1984 as well. And all of those have as much to do with the direction of the 2 programs in 2017 as the loss in 2016. But keep on tryin

I can only assume that Pitt was unable to land Mike Riley and did the next worst thing they could think of and extended the current stiff. There have got to be cheaper ways to destroy your athletic programs than have Narduzzi and Stallings run the two biggest programs. This is truly mind boggling.

What are you talking about? No one indicated the programs weren't headed in different directions. Pitt's average/subpar right now. We're a legit top 8-12 program in the nation.

The comment stating Pitt can't beat us and calling them Akron would be funny if they hadn't beat us within the past 15 months. Pitt beat Clemson and Miami in the last two years as well. Yes, we should beat them. Yes, we're more talented. No, it is not a given that we beat them simply because they're keeping Narduzzi.

Yes they have their key chain so give Pat a lifetime contract because of it.

And that's a valid criticism. Never said it wasn't. Narduzzi is being extended for 3 wins over the past two years. That may or may not work out for Pitt long term but, at least IMO, Narduzzi is as good as they're going to get right now

Blah, blah, blah. Can't believe I wasted my time responding to you. Won't make that mistake again. You're a joke.

I don't understand why this should be important to PSU fans. There would be two great teams in PA - so what? If anything, it's better for PSU if Pitt's decline continues. They haven't been much of a factor with the major in-state recruits this year, and I'm just fine with that. Let them be Temple-West.
