Portal Season Thread

Cephas didn’t arrive until the late summer. It might have been different if he could have enrolled in January and gone through Spring practice. I’m more disappointed with McClain who did enroll early.
Cephas’ primary issue is (pardon being blunt) is lack of intelligence. He had a very difficult time being eligible.

And I believe we saw that transpire on field of play.

And he is just an average Big10 WR.

Singletons not leaving he already said so and why would he - he shares the load with Allen so as not to get beat up and its not like they aren't trying to build an offense around Allar - so much stupid in these posts.
Heard rumor that Allen may leave? That would be devastating!

Wasn't the story that his family doesn't like PSU? But he had a great finish to the season and is in a great spot to build on it next season, and I'm betting he comes back.

But RB is the easiest spot for a youg talented player to show up big as a freshman and with Martin coming in who's also a pretty powerful runner, and Singleton flashing at the end of the season, along with the 2 redshirted RB's and the other 2024 RB I'm not that concerned about the RB position for 2024........

Martin will be moved to wr.

"We simply don't have the NIL ready for any big names"---

UTSA Roster lists him as an Outside Linebacker, 6' 3", 235 lbs. Would need to add about 10-15 lbs to play DE in the B1G.

He's roughly the size Issac and Toney played at. If he can rush the passer, that's the need. We have the stockier build DEs already.

I that that is a very good pick up for UVA. He has speed and elusiveness.

Probably should have stayed in state to begin with. UVA or VT.

Elliott might be a future OC candidate though. UVA probably will give him 2 more years.

Actually that served us pretty well 2 years ago with Tangelo. As long as we don't chase any more Ivy league linemen I'm fine.
Thor Griffith from Harvard would be acceptable
DL not OL as in the past but he's 320 plus pounds. Size alone would make many here happy that don't like the 280ish pound DTs

Penn State offers dynamic return specialist Jaylin Lucas: https://on3.com/teams/penn-state-ni...offers-dynamic-return-specialist-jaylin-lucas

2nd IU player.
I'm hoping Hardy chooses to use his extra year of eligibility as he looked pretty "dynamic" himself on punt returns. Hardy didn't seem to get many decent opportunities down the stretch but we know what he can do if he gets a crease.

Wonder if this offer means that the staff has been notified by Hardy that he won't be back. Bringing Hardy back would also help solidify the CB position if King leaves.
