PSU Lineup Look from FloWrestling

Please list your proposed Iowa lineup for 2017.
Here is what I got:

125 Gilman
133 Clark
141 Turk or the other kid
149 Kemerer
157 Sorenson(they will switch weights, it's irrelevant since they lose both to us, but I think that's what they do)
165 Marinelli
174 Meyer
184 Brooks
197 No idea
Hwt Stoll in March, somebody else up to January.

The questions I have are what Pokes do with Brock and Heil, if they move up or not, also where they go with Rodgers, because there won't be any room for Chance AGAIN if Rodgers is at 165, unless Chance beats him out.

Also, NaTo: Does he believe he has a better shot against Clark than against Gilman? Can he hold 125 anymore? If Ryan keeps him at 125, then he has to send out Pletcher at 133 against a LOADED AND I MEAN LOADED rest of the conference. Does Snyder come back if he wins gold in Rio? If he doesn't, Ohio State is not winning the national championship, at all, won't happen, that's 25 plus points down the drain.

Nothing against Iowa, but that's not competing with Penn State at nationals health issues aside. I think he meant after Lee arrives, maybe even Lee and Teasdale arrive?

Brooks is still around? Feel like he's been there forever

Iowa always has a tough as nails team and the dual this coming season will be intense and entertaining, but PSU wins at least 6 of the 10 matches and scores all of the bonus points.
Since Iowa has won 3 national titles in the last decade and in that time has had individual competitors who won multiple championships - I find it nearly impossible to even remotely propose the 2017 Iowa team as one of the best in the past decade let alone the best.
I think that is the key, a good lineup in 2017, but very thin on bonus point opportunities, as you go down that lineup.

Well, they will go from Gilman, pre season #1, to Lee, pre season #1.

Their theory is that Lee is a bonus point machine, while Gilman is not, but if unless I am
imagining things, Thomas Gilman brought them 20 points last year.

Lee is special, but it's asking a hell of a lot of a true freshman to bring you 25 points on top of winning the national championship right out of the gate, sure it might happen, and proabably will happen, but Lee outscoring Gilman by a SIGNIFICANT margin? Possible but not probable.

It's early, but Okie State to me looks like.
125 Piccininni
133 Brock
141 Heil
149 Collica
157 Smith
165 Rodgers/Marsteller
174 Crutchmer
184 Boyd
197 Weigle
285 {transfer in}

That is a very impressive lineup.

Yep, they are going to be right with us in March, no doubt about it. I think Picc is a "tad" overhyped however, but Boyd is coming on strong, you can see that, Weigle is damn good, and Brock is really good. Heil is the real deal, he won't get bonus, but he wins every damn match 4-2 and gets his hand raised. I think it comes down to 165, and I do NOT think Chance beats out Rodgers, no matter what the spin is over there.

The other thing I am laughing at, is this is the very same lineup, sans Marsden, that the ultimate PSU hater, our very own ex Spartan wrestler, MSU158, predicted would win the national championship last year.

Of course he picked Zain to finish 4th, so there's that too...haha.

Even in 2017-18, teams will have to compete against a lineup with the following at the heart of it: Retherford, Nolf, Joseph, Hall, Nickal. That's not even including Suriano, Cortez, and Nevills plus whoever mans 141 and 197. Good luck with that.

Lee, Mejia, Turk/Happel, Sorenson, Kemerer, Young/Marinelli, Young/Marinelli, admittedly not sure about 184/197 but Stoll at 285.
You mean Fall 2017? Because Lee and Mejia will both still be in HS next March.

Count me as a minority who believes a healthy Cutch is one tough hombre. I admire Rasheed and his skill set, but I really think Cutch will rise to the challenge. I have been proven wrong before, so the crow though not tasty will at least be familiar. Time will tell.
Rasheed beats clutch now...He will be at 184 !!!!

Yes... And Jimmy beats Bo and Nolf beats Neville and Zain beats Cael ! Lol. Oh the nonsense !

Tired of hearing about mistakes.
What were the Ashnault mistakes?

Ashnault is huge, and Jimmy had not grown into the weight yet. Lets see what happens
after an off season of weights, with the help of the Gorilla Hulk and maybe Zain also.

Ashnault beat JG soundly. Not sure I would've put JG on bottom knowing both wrestlers. JG was right there at nationals IMO. Made a careless mistake in the wrestle back and you could see he was pissed about it. Mecate, like Ashnault beat him soundly as expected. Made a mistake against Gross. No excuses. JG needed a year under his belt at 133 before he AA'd (when a lot said he was too small). I'm in the camp that says let's see him crush watermelons at 141!

Not clearing Ash's hands when standing from bottom -- let Ash twice turn mat returns directly into 2-on-1 tilts.

Ashnault was better anyway, but, hey, you asked.

Get a little stronger, and clear Ashnault's hands the next time. Get a little bigger and you don't get tilted.

Young isn't beating anyone Penn State sends to the mat. Ever.
Your that dumb ass know it all who likes to get on the hawkeye report forum and make everybody sick with your factless stupidity. You got a real know it all on your forum penn state fans. He asked a hawkeye report poster out on a date even though he was going through his menstrual period.

Your mom called, it's dinner time, get off the computer and out of the basement.

Everyone has the right to be stupid but your abusing the privilege.
Generally speaking I am OK with pointing out the stupidity of something, someone or a situation.
However, a good rule of thumb is when accusing another poster (or anybody) of stupidity it is wise to pay extra attention to the details of your accusation. Poor grammar, weak spelling or the inability to understand and apply the correct use of "your" or "you're" are several detailed considerations.
Not sure someone who repeatedly writes "your" when their (not 'there or they're) obvious communicated intent is "you're" should be accusing others of abusing the right to be stupid.

Just a thought.

According to The Mat, you can scratch Marstellars name off the list, he is transferring to Lock Haven...

Suriano>Piccininni
Cortez-Brock=Push
Heil>Gulibon
Retherford>Collica
Nolf>Smith
Joseph>Rodgers
Nickal>Crutchmer
Rasheed/McCutcheon-Boyd=Push
Weigel>Cassar
HEALTHY Nevills>Transfer, assuming transfer is not returning AA.

This is the objective, not subjective viewpoint, as of May.

Reading many of the posts in this thread makes me feel dumber. Correction: in several threads of late.

Here is a sampling of Lambertt's 17 post history on HR, the OSU board, and here since he joined the message board world in January. Decide for yourself whether he's a troll.

Spoken like a true know it all.
Pathetic. I can't think of a college who would want him after his pathetic display of being a pout ass.
You find the word "hole" disrespectful" because posters think of you as an "asshole"
Your dad or possibly you must be a wrestling official and an awful one at that.
How stupid are you McCulloughd?
You haven't got a clue as to what's going on.
I'll be seeing you on the 5th know it all.
Your as stupid as MSU158. Learn how to spell.
Says the troll.
I'm impressed. A troll's troll!
Your that dumb ass know it all

I don't often say it, but everyone should ban you, and given your history, I don't doubt it will be long before we wave bye to you.
