165: #1 Vincenzo Joseph vs. Jacob Morrissey

Per 1
Joseph in quickly and gets behind for the TD, 2-0. Wow. So much for an intermission break. Joseph working a 2-on-1, gets a tilt, and gets 2 swipes. 2 NF, 4-0. Morrissey to his feet and gets cut, 4-1. Joseph on a quick TD, 6-1. After a bit, Joseph loses the arm and Morrissey gets the esc, 6-2. Morrissey shoots, Joseph sprawls, then he snaps down on the head and spins behind, 8-2. Stall warning on Morrissey. Another 2-on-1, but no swipes. End. RT at 2:29 for Joseph

Per 2
Blood time for Joseph before they get set. Joseph takes bottom. He stands quickly, and is out, 9-2. Joseph in on a single and gets the TD, 11-2. Nearly a TD to the back. Joseph throws in a boot as they are near the edge. Stall warning on Morrissey so it's 12-2. Joseph cuts him, 12-3. A flurry of shots and Joseph blasts thru a whizzer for a TD, 14-3, and then he turns him, not much time left, and Morrissey rolls out. 18-3 TF at 4:58!!!!!!!!

I hate this helpless feeling when you can't get to watch what you pay to see. I sent a note to Big 10 network as well as PSU as I know they will blame each other for the issues. These are the reasons I won't pay Flo and looks like The Big Ten network won't get any more of my $$

174: #2 Mark Hall vs. #12 Dylan Lydy

Per 1
Lydy shoots in, nothing. Hall snaps the head down, nothing. Hall drives in, nothing. Hall in on a single but loses the leg, nothing. Lydy working an underhook, nothing. Hall in on a leg, a scramble, and eventually Hall with the TD, 2-0. Looked like he went for a cradle. Stoppage for blood time for Lydy. Lydy explodes off the whistle, then a locked hands call on Hall, 2-1. Hall nearly gets a tilt at the end of the period. End. RT at 44 sec for Hall

Per 2
Hall takes bottom. He's up quickly, taken back to his feet, then he kicks free, 3-1. OOB. Hall drives in, Lydy backs up, then steps in, Hall tries to throw him by, nothing. Stall warning against Lydy just before they go OOB with 48 sec left. Hall drives in, Lydy backs up, then Hall with a quick shot for the TD, 5-1. End. RT at 48 sec for Hall

Per 3
Lydy takes bottom. Hall gets RT over 1 min, then cuts him, 5-2. Hall in on a leg, and after a scramble he gets the TD, 7-2. Hall cuts Lydy, 7-3. RT at 1:14. Stall warning on Lydy is a point, 8-3. Hall tries a duck, nothing. Crazy scramble, and Hall ends up with the TD, 10-3. RT is assured. Lydy is flattened. He works up, then gets broken back down. End. 1:45 in RT makes it a 11-3 major!

28-6, and PSU sets a new school record for consecutive wins



MSU - Indy was 15-15 going into the last bout, at 285, and MSU with the decision for the win, 18-5
 
Quick update from the Michigan v Wisconsin dual...Pantaleo just lost 3-0 to Andrew Crone. He looked like a different guy compared to the version who wrestled Nolf

184: #1 Bo Nickal vs. Max Lyon

Per 1
Nearly a quick throw off of the double overhooks by Nickal, but nothing. Nickal shoots, Lyon sprawls, nothing. Lyon in on a head inside single, Nickal tried to get a cradle, and he locks it, and gets the pin at 1:55!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

197: #10 Shakur Rasheed vs. Kobe Woods

Per 1
Rasheed with a double for a TD, 2-0. He locks up a cradle but can't turn him, and loses the cradle. 2 NF as they go OOB, 4-0. Rasheed working under the chin, and a tilt but no swipes, then an illegal hold on Rasheed, 4-1. Woods out, 4-2. Rasheed in on a single and gets behind, 6-2. He locks up a nearside cradle, and gets the pin at 1:42!!!!!!!

40-6, PSU
 
The Cradle will rock! Rasheed keeps doing what he has to do to make a statement that belongs in the lineup. Few guys can stop his cradles even when they know they are a-coming.

285: #8 Nick Nevills vs. #15 Shawn Streck

2nd matchup tonight between 2 ranked wrestlers

Per 1
259 was the weigh in for Nevills. Nick tried a single, nothing. Not a lot of activity in first 1:30. And not a lot in the second 1:30. End

Per 2
Streck takes bottom. Streck to his feet, and they go OOB. Nevills hit with a stall warning as they went OOB. Streck to his feet, turns, and he's out, 0-1. Nevills in on a leg, tries to get behind, but Streck kicks free, nothing. Nevills in on a double, to a single, trying to work up, they scramble, and a stalemate with 29 sec left. End

Per 3
Nevills takes bottom. Nevills to his feet, and quickly out, 1-1. Nevills tries a shot, nothing. Stoppage for interlocking hands. Streck shoots in on a single, elevates the leg, but Nick gets it free, nothing. Nick in on a low double and gets the TD, 3-1. Stall warning on Nick, and CS wants a conversation. Warning on the PSU bench. 3-2 is the score due to the stalling point. Streck up to his feet, and brought back down, up again, and back down again. Streck to his feet again, and Nick brings him back down again. RT goes over 1 min. Streck is flat. End. With 1:24 of RT, it's a 4-2 win for Nick Nevills.

I have found myself wondering lately how Cassar would do at 285. He would certainly be one of the more mobile and athletic at that weight. I am sure he could get in on shots but would he have the strength to finish them and could he get out from under some of those big ogres.

I think he'd be a perfect fit for the weight. Some guys struggle with the size disadvantage, but it seems like 80% of the guys take advantage of the lack of 285 talent/wrestling ability.
