In the 133 thread on HR, one of the posters wrote "If Cael didn’t have the class coming in he did he would be all over everyone in this thread for 125 and 133. The stories I have heard of his level of tampering would blow most people’s minds."

I found it laughable when you look at our 2 transfers this year, Kuhn from a now defunct program, and Keener as a grad transfer. I stated that PSU loses more to transfer than gains. Off the top of my head, I can think of Suriano, Stout (Pitt), Hammonds (Drexel), Cody Law (UPJ) as kids who transferred out. I could only remember Jordan Conaway as a wrestler who transferred from another school and started for PSU. I am sure I am missing kids in both the transferring from and to PSU. Who else can you remember?

Edit: I went back and deleted my post...wouldn't change his mind.

Sour grapes as usual over at HR. I saw one where they wanted steroid testing before the tourney. Cael cheats, pays money, team uses PED’s, tampers for transfers, etc.... and they embarrassed the Hawks on Saturday. Blah, Blah, Blah

Such a stupid accusation... the same guys who claim that Cael is only a great recruiter especially when backed by a slush fund also claim he is aggressively violating tampering rules by trying to get transfers.... yet despite the slush fund he hasn’t had any impact transfers other than long 7 years ago and in fact has had more transfers out? That makes sense.

That is yet another gem from our pal DonHawkeye. Gotta love that guy; one of HR's finest.

I am sure someone already posted a corrective response. The only college Jordan Conaway has attended is Penn State. Jordan is home grown blue and white. Never, ever a transfer.

There are a ton of HR dudes who know all kind of things about Cael. Evil doer that big bad Carl.

IMO the funniest thing about HR is even some of the more level headed of their members can not figure out why we make fun of their collective lunacy.

Funny how HR bragged about landing a 149 transfer while Lugo was still in Edinboro.

Not saying Brands tampered with Flynn. Just that well, consider the source.

nitlion6, if you're going to refer to HR AND our coach, please refer to him in the indigenous language, it's CARL!!

Some reporter or FLO guy needs to ask Cael if he reads HR? Could you imagine Cael, Cody, Casey, and Jake reading that forum over lunch.

I have a dollar that says there are enough people around them that read the boards that they have heard and know, and occasionally have read a post or two.

Just saying.

Jimmy Lawson played football at Monmouth for two years before transferring in.

Sanderson brother transferred in ...
David Taylor backed out of his ISU commit

Bubba left for ASU

you win some, you lose some, and some get rained out

When you look back on it, it really wasn't much of a "double recruiting class", was it? The Cyler/Bubba is sort of a wash, so you're left with one wrestler changing a commitment in a way the NCAA allows.

Embarrassed is putting it nicely. They demolished the Hawks. The recipe on HR is to make up reasons why Cael Sanderson is kicking the shit out of Iowa. And after the way tOSU has looked lately, I think the Hawks are going to have another huge meltdown when PSU rolls to another NCAA title.

Delusion doesn't even begin to describe the mentally handicapped posters on HR.

don’t forget the burner phones he uses

The best is the fact that they've spent years criticizing Cael for taking Andrew Long and citing his history of alcohol abuse which caused him to wind up in trouble at ISU as Cael willing to do anything to win. They criticized it when it was announced, while he was wrestling for PSU, and after he wound up in more trouble at PSU. They've spent years taking what they think is the moral high ground and telling everybody that the Brands would never do something like this to win.

And then comes Pat Downey, a guy with a rap sheet far longer than Andrew Long, who anyone would consider a far riskier take than Andrew Long was when he came from ISU and HR will tell you that the Brands are practically saints for taking this kid in, and that they and only they can turn around this troubled soul who would never make a mistake at Iowa despite being kicked out of Nebraska and off of the ISU wrestling team. Iowa would have been his fourth stop in college.

The hypocrisy runs deep on the Hawkeye Report.

Everyone should have burner phones. I have 2 of them. They make life eaiser on so many levels.

Not on the "Honey, I swear I am not cheating on you" level though. Paranoid sig. other? Not worth it. Otherwise the ability to disconnect completely but still have access to emergencies is amazing!!

Cael probably uses his to tell the staff where he hid kittens bodies though =)

(That last part was a reference to another post I made. Cael doesn't kill cats)

ETA: Only real gripe fans should have with Cael is his Bill Belicheck like press conferences. When he opens up he really is an entertaining interview. It'd be nice if he was more engaging as an icon of the sport, but if thats the worst you can say about a man, you're really just nitpicking.

Just play along and tell them that Spencer Lee is transferring to PSU. Slush Fund. NLWC

I also enjoy their annual Sandusky thread after their annual PSU arse kicking.
