Question for Marshall

Defensively, our guys "chirp" as much as anybody in the country.

I'm not saying it's necessarily a bad thing. It's not like we're 1980s Miami or anything. No reason to think they're "bad" kids. But they definitely talk a lot of trash. It's been this way for the past few years.

Guys like Dotson go about their business without yapping. Saquon was like that. Lots of others, too. The offense in general, actually. But the defense has a tendency to run their mouth. They better back it up.
In all fairness, Dotson looked like he was talking some trash when he snagged the near INT.

Maybe he’s smart enough to avoid the board knowing there would be a bunch of whiny ass little girls dominating it for days, like after every loss.
Like those whining incessantly that Franklin is Knute Rockne and we need to accept the complete collapse on Saturday and the two year downward spiral that seems pointed toward the abyss? Those whiners?

Get in your EV and transport yourself to Happy Valley for a game and you might be shocked that long-time, realistic, knowledgeable and patient fans have seen enough. Lots of experts are asking the same type of questions.

Does not mean you are wrong? No. But you are distinctly in the minority on the state of State. It is not the” fan boys” that you think the questions are isolated.

Do you think/why do you think Penn State lacks the physical and mental toughness of bygone PSU Teams?

Do you agree it needs to be restored to compete at the highest level?

Can we get there with Franklin? And if so, how?
Marshall - are you waiting for the new board to answer these questions? Seriously, very interested in your perspective.

You were ping pong #1 in Fitdth grade but U need to get her on the line to see the booty in tennis shorts. She was a baggy clodes art school cabbage kid, she never felt the rush of air on a windy day against her face as she had ran around avoiding using the backhand, in the Gloria Esteppinn sweats too. It was a "crispy Joe Krispin fall leaf" type of day too, even the Yankee mobb kkkrew had caught fall leavsies from Hartford to Reading.

It’s apparent you don’t know the meaning of the word whining. And I seriously doubt I’m in the minority, especially if you take out the Wal Mart PSU fans.

No, I know exactly what whining is…and I am smart enough not to listen to insight who disparages “Wal Mart fans” from an ivory tower in Kentucky.

Seriously Marshall - are you OK? Most here appreciate your underlying messages.

Your perspective is desired/welcome/needed.

At least I have a degree from PSU…and what difference does it make where I live? And you obviously don’t know what whining is. Saying “we need a new coach because we deserve better” is whining….being realistic about where the program is at is not whining….see the difference?

I guess the question is this: Where is the program at? I think we’ll have a better idea by the end of the season.

What makes you think you are special by holding a PSU degree? Many/most here do (including me and with my family having degrees and ongoing PSU education across 3 generations…I am also a PSU Instructor).

Does not matter where you live.

Those who rationally call for accountability are not whining. You can not seem to accept (whining all that way) that other informed people might have a different opinion than you.

You appear to be ok with debacles like Indiana 2020, Illinois 2021, and the downward trajectory of the program. All the while held hostage by a coach flirting with leaving the program - seemingly oblivious to his shortcomings. Good for you. Some are not satisfied with the above. Good for them too.

Newsflash: Most disagree with you and it is not meeting at a Wal Mart to hash out the displeasure. It is in the parking lot of Beaver Stadium and in the offices of serious professional sports/football analysts.

Perhaps he’ll appear if you offer to fellate him. Seriously, do you have even an ounce of self respect?

I’m not sure how calling to fire a coach after one bad season and currently sitting at 5-2 is rationally calling for accountability…sounds more like entitled fan speak.

Nobody Likes to lose. If you did you wouldn't be a fan. For the record, not a PSU graduate. I often joke that I did not go to PSU, but my money did (middle son PSU degree 2011) I have been a fan of PSU for as long as I can remember. I have gone to at least one game for 40 years. About 10 years ago I was given the opportunity to share season tickets with rudedude. I've been fortunate to attend most home games, a few away games, and some bowl games.

I loved Joe and the "Success with Honor" mantra. I liked and supported BO'B. Son and I woke up at 4 am and drove 2 hours to State College for his first practice (Rally in the Valley). I like CJF. Has he made some head scratching mistakes re: clock management, play calling, player decisions? Yes, and they hurt because as fans we have an investment whether it be time, money or memories. Does he deserve criticism? Sure, but some posters take it to the extremes, like it's a job.

This thread and this Board are a microcosm of our society today. A few posters on each side of an issue take it to the extremes, make all the noise, It's my way or the highway......while the rest of us are either a little right or left of the middle.

Let’s see where/how the season ends. Franklin will have earned it if he can turn this around. After Saturday, it’s tough to be optimistic. Time will tell. I suspect the worst is yet to come.

So do you sit with keeping Franklin? In all cases? If we steal one against tbe Big3 remaining on our schedule? 5-7? 6-6? 7-5? 8-4?

And how do you feel about all of this murkiness on Franklin honoring his contract? Vs say what Mike Tomlin did?

Who is Mike Tomlinson?

Marshall watch…Day 6
I’m not good at Twitter since I’m not a Twitteree or Tweeter, but per CAC Marshall23’s Twit-feed he is alive and well.

He has retweeted other twit-tweets within the past 24 hours and appears to be placing blame for PSU’s loss vs Illinois squarely on Mike Yurcich.

Call me shocked 😳

I would ordinarily post his Twit-feed as evidence, but being the slow learner I am….even I have gradually learned that sharing the personal information of others on this board is not only frowned upon, it’s a bannable offense (*)

If I get booted with 3 BWI board days remaining, what do I do for a new board name?

(*) Unless it's Sunday and he hasn't yet self-reported for proper atonement.

Fascinating. Hope he returns here for that explanation? Like to see answers to my initial questions. I don’t think Yurcich is responsible for giving up 350+ yards on the ground against a 1-D Big10 bottom dweller at home. But you’ll see some tall tales spun here to protect a narrative.

Wonder who Yurcich reports to….?
